Jabber login - cannot connect to iChat/Messages on iMac
My jabber account connected to my Gmail is no longer working through iChat/Messages. I have checked every source to input the correct password. But, it continues to decline and repeat the pop up "Messages can’t log in to *LIST GMAIL ADDRESS* because your login ID or password is incorrect." However in this case, the person with the inquiry, somehow had the problem fix itself... Which doesn't help anyone else in this situation. I have closed 'Messages' several time and restarted it... doesn't work. Restarted the computer... nope. Signed into my gmail account... talk.google account... they all work. Passwords in tact. But, Messages does not... just keeps asking the same thing and.. there is no 'forgot password' or anything... so i am forced to keep putting in the same 'correct password' for the account and nothing happen.
I tried taking the advice of the person responding, but, I think that google may have changed since then, I am unable to locate 'My Products' anywhere to attempt that route of 'finding a solution'.
Please help..
iMac, iOS 10.3.2, OS Sierra Version 10.12.5
