Yes I'm well aware of where the microphone is located and how I used it before....that's the PROBLEM it's not working now.....it's there - I press it and it doesn't record anything that I'm speaking.
Me too. No mater what app I am in, dictation/voice to text has just stopped since the latest upgrade. So tired of Apple releasing upgrades without fully testing.

if you mean dictation then it rely on the used keyboard so if you don't speak the language of the chosen keyboard it will not work
That's what the microphone in your keyboard does. It's on the bottom row next to the emoji symbol.
Well that it states that they will not reply but it doesn’t mean they’re not listening. On the other hand it doesn’t mean that they are.
