I'm not sure I agree with your assertion, but you would have to ask Apple. This is a user-to-user form and (with VERY limited exceptions) no one here works for Apple and we can't speak for them.

Yes, I read something along those lines also. But that doesn't mean the iPhone 8 is the culprit.
