iOS 11 touch screen issues 6S

I uninstalled my iPhone 6S and instead installed a Samsung galaxy S5 and solved the issue. Just kidding Apple!! Hahaaaaaa. I am trying toggling off the reduced motion (switching back to default motion) and also I deleted and re created passcode and all finger prints.

I understand. I was sooooo frustrated when this started to happen. At the moment, lucky me, this issue is fully out. What helped me for a while always was putting phone to DFU mode, downloading some files to phone in DFU mode and also trying to downgrade to iOS 10(even its not signed for ip6 anymore) and opening phone, disconneting baterry, disconeting all display conectors, putting them back and again connecting baterry....... that made it working for a while and now with last updates I have zero issues. Even response of system and baterry life is fine...

Hey, is this solve your problem? I have same problem. Have you try to update to ios 11.0.1 out today? Please let me know. I'm still stuck ios 10.3.3 :(

Install 11.1 beta 2, it works

That's simply not true; different OSs use the hardware in slightly different ways, and it could be that the way iOS 11 is accessing the screen hardware is different than the way iOS 10 did.

There are certainly hundreds of thousands if not millions of 6S users out there running iOS 11 that are not experiencing this issue.

In response to my own post. There are clearly users with other than iPhone 6's judging by other threads on the board. The most common, but not exclusive, connection is third party screen replacement but there are some users who have had no repairs and still have the same issue. Excessive heat during updating/reinstallstion has also been mentioned.

Also happening on my iPhone 6 Plus. No aftermarket screen replacement, was running the beta just fine. Started after the update to the full release, is also happening with the iOS 11.1 beta 1 as well. Restoring my iPhone to 10.3.3 right now to see if I can get a working phone back.

I took my iPhone 7 Plus with this problem in to my local Apple Store on Saturday and it was replaced. The suspicion was that a fault had developed in the logic board although I’m not convinced (but I am very satisfied at Apple’s attitude).

I have a 6S+ that sometimes gets a non responsive touch while using the phone.I've started noticing this issue after updating to iOS 11.0.3. This happened pretty often. After updating to iOS 11.1 the problem didn't go away. Now the touch sometimes becomes unresponsive when trying to make a call or ending one. After pressing the lock button a couple of times the touch works again. The phone was never dropped or held in a tight pocket and it's protected by a Ringke Armor Max case. The screen was never replaced. Should i send my phone to an Apple authorised service center ?

My iphone is working way better than before after the deactivation of the find my iphone function but it sometimes remains very slow with still some touchscreen issues... on IOS 11.1.1 and on 11.1.

Same deal. iPhone 6 Plus. Original LCD, never been repaired, been protected and treated really well, yada yada.

Started having issues about three IOS 11 upgrades ago, so probably 11.0.x or 11.1. Didn't pay attention until I realised that something was seriously wrong and I'd been through an upgrade or two and the problem was still there.

The touch screen locks up randomly.

The touchscreen fires random keystrokes - just hovering a finger above the screen will fire a stream of garbage into a text message for example. Trying to touch a specific key on the keyboard will fire the wrong key or keys - before the finger gets to the keyboard the touchscreen has already chosen a different key.

In horror I watched the touchscreen scroll through my messages in Outlook - one every second or so, working its way down my inbox, marking each as read. For me read/unread is a primary marker of whether a client issue has been handled. By the time I noticed, and realised, what was happening, grabbed my phone from my desk, and closed outlook, I had about 1/2 day of detective work to do to get my erstwhile 'to-do' list back together.

Notice that the phone was laying flat on my desk - my hands nowhere near it - but unlocked with Outlook open (which is unusual for me - security is a concern) - and the touchscreen was still going haywire.

I spent, literally, 45 minutes trying to send a three sentence SMS. Required a lot of lock/unlock cycles (usually unfreezes the touchscreen). Then with the touchscreen firing a stream of garbage into the keyboard, and the keyboard auto-correcting that stream of garbage even as I tried to delete it, and then the touchscreen wholesale freezing every other millisecond, it just became impossible to get those three sentences in place and sent. Oh, and it was screwing with the recipient list even as I was trying to edit the message body. Incredible stuff.

Then there's the routine inability to even unlock the phone. Touchscreen freezes. Can't unlock iPhone. iPhone is a brick in a shiny case. Business day stops until iPhone wants to work again. Power off/Power on. Wait. Hope.

I'm having this issues, despite my iPhone 6S (128Gb) being a genuine Apple one (recently replaced with one of their own fresh replacements due to the 6S battery problem issue - mine was actually swelling up in the case!) - so I have had a completely fresh install either September or October, and started having problems in early November.

As soon as I upgraded to IOS 11.0.1 I started having problems, and they have continued! Today, for example, the screen has frozen multiple times, making the phone a brick. The OS is clearly running fine in the background, as I can close and re-open the phone (using a fingerprint) and double tap to get to the APP switcher... but the screen is dead. I'm currently on IOS 11.2.1. I am loath to try to go back to 10.3.3, if it is even still available, as I have various secure Apps (like banking apps) which need time consuming setup processes. But will, if it really makes all the difference!

Sometimes the screen works again in a few seconds, other times it can take minutes (even up to half an hour or more). If it is having a (longer) issue, I can hard shutdown (both buttons for 5s or more, and restart) the phone many times with no improvement... but eventually it does usually come back.

It seems totally random. I've had completely trouble free days, and whole days when I can hardly use my phone for 5 minutes without the problem occurring. I've tried removing reduce motion, turning off find the iphone, and removing and resetting passcodes and fingerprints.

I'm going to arrange a genius bar appt soon to try to see what they say.

Has anyone on this thread had any more info since mid December?

I know of an iPhone 6 that seemed to have this issue, and it was bought new at Vodafone Portugal! 11.0.3 seems to have solved the issue though.

This is very strangely, my 6s after update to 11.0.3 working absolutely correctly. Try downgrade to 10.3.3, may be Apple continues to sign it.
