iOS 11 touch screen issues 6S

Did this with my daughter's phone after update to 11.0.1 - and on 2nd time of restoring we decided not to set a passcode. This worked, however this was only until she had to power the phone off at school. Then the touchscreen didn't respond after she turned the phone back on. Now downgraded the phone back to 10.3.3 and no issues.

I do not understand something. The problem with the screen has not been solved, but today I read in the news that Apple stopped signing the firmware 10.3.3. And how now to be the one who was updated on iOS 11 and who does not have the screen working? How to be personally to me if my iPhone with 10.3.3 is accidentally updated to iOS 11? Apple, how are you feeling there? What the **** is going on here?

Easy! go to an Apple store and pay again for another screen. In any case, you can easily avoid updating your phone. Just don't do it. iOS11.0.2 does not solve the issue and there is little hope that iOS11.1 will (the available beta does not work), but I have hope Apple will address this in the next few months.

Apple has stopped signing 10.3.3 and i just updated to 11.0.2 now my phone is nothing but an overpriced brick that can do nothing as there is now no way to downgrade to 10.3.3

Apple please at least let us downgrade so that we can use our phones.

That will not work. After installing, your phone connects with Apple, which will not authorize the downgrade. You are stuck with iOS11. Either you wait until the next update and hope for the best, or replace the screen with a compatible one from Apple or from somewhere else (there are some aftermarket screens that are compatible as long as the IC controller is original, but make sure it has been tested beforehand).

Just download the firmware file for 10.3.3 and restore as normal, shift+restore will bring the file select option.

Apple stopped signing 10.3.3 yesterday but surprisingly they are again Signing 10.3.3, looks like they are overwhelmed by the customer care incoming requests and thought to let people downgrade iOS.

The IC is on the motherboard of most iPhone versions, but it is on the screen of 6S and 6S+. That is the problem and that is why other models with replaced screens still work. There are aftermarket screens for 6S that contain an original IC (i.e. the same Apple uses) and those work perfectly even if the rest of the screen is not.

My wife’s phone having then same issues that how I Foundr this thread. Doesn’t Apple give a ****? Not so sure, 3 new iPhones been released after s6 think they’d giving everyone a push to upgrade. Love my s6 no need for the new phones. They control their market, it’s brilliant

Are you sure? If the battery is worst than 11.0.1 and 2, it means that you were able to run those as well and we know that those cause the touchscreen issue. Are you sure you are talking about the same problem? The problem we are discussing here is that after installing iOS11 (including 11.1 beta 1, 11.0.1 and 11.0.2) the touch screen does not work at all. You cannot unlock your phone or do anything. Is this the problem you are referring to? Just to confirm.

I had same issue with my Iphone 6 64GB. Since update to iOS 11.1 beta 1. My screen is replaced with aftermaket. I tested many time, what can cause this isseu and I found that must be software. Today I updated to iOS 11.1 beta 2 and since update, no issue pop up. Hope that update to latest beta version will help the others.

Okay so I guess I need to take my word back, Apple launched iOS 11.0.3 update that specifically addresses the 6s issue. That's really great! But this time i'll pay safe cause I know I won't be able to downgrade. So I'll wait for a week or more before installing it.

Well, gentlemen, it seems time to disperse. My 6s work fine on 11.0.3, there are no problems with the display. The only question to Apple - why it was impossible to solve this problem at the beta stage?
