iOS 11 touch screen issues 6S

UPDATE: iPhone 6, 64GB. Screen was changed for some aftermarket with previous owner. At the moment installing iOS 11.0.3 didnt help at all, same issue. Change of screen for original one did not helped also(lucky me, that I still can send this new screen back to seller). Today evening I will try to put there 10.3.3 via any 3rd party application, if does not help, bye bye Iphone 6 and I will use again my 5S with iOS 10 which works perfectly.....;-) but very sad about this Apple issue. Do you think that this week will be any update with next possible bug fix?

Hi @jono91702, thanks for the update, have u downgraded to 10.3.3? is it working after the downgrade? I have tried the same after apple support suggested me and provided me with a link, however, its not working!

I am having the exact same issue and have tried everything to fix the problem but no solution. My iPhone 6s has never been replaced with a third party screen or has ever been repaired since It's mint condition. So disappointed in Apple for making us feel like a bunch of chumps with the latest firmware update. It didn't even fix the problems.

I have the same issue, and it happens very 10 minutes. I went to one of the apple technician, and he just told me to reset all my setting and if it still don't work then just wait for the 11.0.4 to fix the issue. 😁

I was having the same non-responsive screen problem mentioned in this thread and found a workaround that works pretty well for me, most likely that Apple will not recommend doing so due to security concerns.

My device: iPhone 6, original screen (never broken), never jailbraked, started having the screen issue since iOS 11.0.1 through 11.0.2 and 11.0.3.

Tried hard reboots, Restore with iTunes, reset all setting and actually everything that was mentioned here. Nothing worked, screen not responsive most of the time and takes several reboots to have it responsive for a few clicks.

Workaround: disable Find My iPhone.

Settings --> Apple ID --> iCloud --> Find My iPhone

(You will need your Apple ID password in order to disable it).

Even since I disabled it, my device screen is back to work just perfectly well. Still have minor lags from time to time on specific apps but overall, this is much better.

Please try on your device and let us all know. I would really like to know if you find it useful.

So far, no updates. Phone is still unresponsive and not working often. I'm very upset by Apple. I'm not sure what to do. I would of thought that an update would be here by now.

IOS 11.1 is now released. Can you confirm if this is working now for you. I have just installed it. So far, so good. but the issue happens to me after a night of sleeping when I wake up and check my phone. Cannot confirm until tomorrow.

Congratulations. Really hope this time your fix is permanent and you don't face any problems like this with your phone.

I am not so lucky. After 11.1 update also, my screen is unresponsive! Planning to take the phone to the service center again. Lets see.

I have a 6S+ that sometimes gets a non responsive touch while using the phone.I've started noticing this issue after updating to iOS 11.0.3. This happened pretty often. After updating to iOS 11.1 the problem didn't go away. Now the touch sometimes becomes unresponsive when trying to make a call or ending one. After pressing the lock button a couple of times the touch works again. The phone was never dropped or held in a tight pocket and it's protected by a Ringke Armor Max case. The screen was never replaced. Should i send my phone to an Apple authorised service center ?

Exactly the same issue for me and my iPhone SE. And other devices (an iPad mini that I’m using right now, in despair, to try and find answers here) is also very slow and laggy. It’s definitely not just an iPhone 6 problem! Let’s hope Apple are reading this...

You may be right about motherboards, but this touchscreen issue is definitely happening on my iPhone SE too (and others on here are reporting problems with other iPhone models too) so whatever the problem is, it’s not restricted to the iPhone 6S. Conversely my partner’s iPhone 6S is working perfectly after upgrading to iOS 11 🤔

It worked perfectly for me !

My touchscreen had very strange behavior and everything is now back to normal by turning off the Find My Iphone!

I still don't get why this worked, surely that the processor was running in a loop...

I am correcting what i have said...

My iphone is working way better than before after the deactivation of the find my iphone function but it sometimes remains very slow with still some touchscreen issues... on IOS 11.1.1 and on 11.1.

I uninstalled my iPhone 6S and instead installed a Samsung galaxy S5 and solved the issue. Just kidding Apple!! Hahaaaaaa. I am trying toggling off the reduced motion (switching back to default motion) and also I deleted and re created passcode and all finger prints.
