Apple Watch sensitivity changed with WatchOS 4?
Ive just updated to WatchOS 4 and now my screen won’t work with screen protector on. I restarted Watch with no success. Is there any way to change screen sensitivity?

After a few hours of messing with my watch on this issue, I have discovered what the problem is. Watch with cover on, off my wrist, works fine. Put watch back on my wrists, nope! Went into Watch then Passcode and turned off wrist detection and YES! Fixed! However, certain things may need wrist detection turned on.... For now, until they fix the bug, this will do! Good luck!

Hi
There is no software setting for changing screen sensitivity.
It may help to remove your screen protector.
The only fix for this problem is to power off the Watch, wait 30 seconds and power back on. Fixed!! There is not a way to change sensitivity.
Turning off the wrist detection does help as a workaround until there is a software update from Apple.
Same problem also discussed here: APPLE WATCH SNAP-ON WATCH COVER/CASE INHIBITING TOUCHSCREEN SENSITIVITY IN OS 4.
Turned off wrist detection & it works! Thanks!
I have exact the same issue. My wife is using the same series 2 watch 42mm and she is running Watch OS 3.2.xxx or something like that and hers is fine with exactly the same screen protector. Will try disabling wrist detection.
The same happened to me. It is really annoying. I scratched my watch once and then bought the protector. Now it is annoying to see notifications or to browse on the watch. Apple should put a sensitivity option for you to change it, but I couldn't find one.
I don’t really want to remove the screen protector, especially in work. I find it strange the sensitivity changed with os update
If you would like to send feedback and/or a feature request to Apple, then you can do so here:
Interestingly my series 2 42mm has this problem but my wife's series 2 38mm doesn't.
It's really quite annoying
Same problem here. We’re not alone either: watch 2 touch issues
Same problem here! I can hardly use Watch with protector on it. Is there a possibility to downgrade back to watchOS3?
Also, the screen doesn’t respond to any touches while the watch is charging.
Yep same here.
Don’t know what is worse. Apple effectively making the watch useless with a 3rd party cover or that they sell $600 watches but not supported covers. 🤔
