I just lied. I tried it and, as soon as I touched one of the buttons, the ringing went silent! It recovered for the next incoming call.
With the new update, IOS 11 turned off the "Change with Buttons" setting to off in Settings > Sounds. Just go into Settings > Sound and turn the "Change with Buttons" switch on
I should have said home screen rather than lock screen, my bad. But is does say Ringer when I adjust it on the home screen and does not increase it for music.
You can use Control Center and adjust the volume separately for Music.
Mine doesn't say "ringer." It says "volume."
Mine just says volume it doesn’t say ringer at all

So this doesn’t fix it. My ios11 doesn’t even have sounds and haptic sand under sounds there is no option to fix this. Can’t find anywhere
