So now with the new TV OS11 all the movies on my mac that Are homeshared are all in one group “movies”
The ”unwatched”ones are no longer in a group of there own
there is not even a category of “unwatched”
so annoying everything is mixed all together now
no way of separating them all
any ideas?
This is my most used feature and enough for me to change my mind about getting another Apple TV (was planning on buying 4K for my 4K TV). The new browsing is beautiful but useless compared to the simple list of TV shows, then seasons, then episodes... much less usable. The loss of unwatched listings is a deal breaker for me! I can't even figure out a way to mark an episode watched/unwatched on tvOS 11... used to just hold down on trackpad, but it's gone too. I was going to make a playlist as a workaround, but I can't find a way to make a smart playlist that uses the watched/unwatched status... can only filter based on number of plays being less than 1, which isn't the same thing with multiple users in the house. I wish I could go back to tvOS 10 and I'll be looking for a way to do just that because this is a TERRIBLE UPDATE!
Agreed. The new TV Shows layout is horrible. It takes so many more clicks and scrolling to get to specific (not the last) season of a show anymore.
I have the same problem, Some ideas to solve?? with plex? I have 3 AppleTv3 but I wanted a the new 4k Apple TV but Without this option I'm thinking to return to my old Apple TV3
How did you ge them to sort alphabetically? mine are sorted by the date they were last viewed, making it nearly impossible to find anything in our catalog.

I have stuff on a server that I Home share to the Apple TV
Interesting, mine still shows Recently added, Films (TV Programmes), Playlists and then Genres. I’ve checked through the settings and can’t see anything to switch it on.
Ahh maybe that’s it
I have beta software turned on in the settings
