Again, that’s for you. Not me. As I stated before, those of us with big hands have a harder time putting the insertion point where we want it. I used those arrows a lot. Not saying you do. I’m saying I do. Just because Apple does it doesn’t mean I have to like it or not say anything about it. I don’t like Kool-aid.
I think I was pretty clear that I was stating my own preference and why. But, to reiterate, no one's preferences is "the right one" and whatever decision Apple makes, someone is going to be unhappy. Unfortunately, this time it's you.
No one here can do anything about the change except to tell you what your current options are. Submit your feedback and explore keys that better meet your needs.
I assume you are talking about how they have squished the keys together? If so, I am finding this highly annoying as well. It's my single biggest gripe about ios 11. I don't know if this was done on purpose or if it's a bug, but they've essentially broken the functionality of the keyboard in landscape mode in my opinion. My thumbs are now always inadvertently hitting the "return" and "emoji" keys. Typing now has become almost unbearable. Apple please fix this!!!
The first picture in your previous post is what I see when I put my 7 Plus in landscape. Apple has made a significant change in the keyboard. It works well for me as I know longer keep obliterating entire texts by accidentally hitting, I think it was a return key on the left on the old keyboard. However, I can see why some people wouldn't like it. Fortunately, there are plenty of options out there.

Mine goes edge-to-edge (see pictures above). I have a 7 with 11.01.
Maybe you've got the rare bug!
I'm having the same problem on my brand new iPhone 7plus. One of the reasons I bought the 7plus was because of all of the extra options on the landscape keyboard. NOW THEY ARE GONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not cool, Apple. Not cool at all.
Same problem since the iOS11 upgrade on my iPhone6... In particular, the lack of arrows to go forward and backward is severely slowing down text input and editing. Try to remove those on a physical keyboard... 😟
But if Apple is going to sell apps that require the now missing keys such as Pages and Keynote, they should not remove these keys. Using Pages or Keynote or any app that does any sort of text editing on these phones is now kind of pointless.

Not only are the additional buttons missing in the keyboard, it's the fact that they have changed the sizing and placement of the return key and made the spacebar smaller. It really screws up the typing flow.

Good point, especially with Pages, where a comma is occasionally appropriate.
Same problem. Don't know how to fix it. 😟
I’m having the same issue. Don’t like the extra space (to the left and right) on my landscape keyboard on iOS 11.
It’s just not right, hope they will fix it soon...
Thanks for the feedback: very disappointing to see that this is the way it is supposed to look in iOS11.
A huge mistake indeed...
