ios 11 update phone freezing

I just updated today 19th of October and my phone has frozen several times. The phone will not allow me to turn it off. The whole screen freezes.

My iPhone 5S hangs on the lock screen at least 10 times on any given day. This is an awful bug, I can’t believe Apple allowed iOS 11 to be released in this state.

I am so done with Apple. My phone can’t go 10mins without freezing after the update. I had a better phone in 2006 with my flip phone. Get it together.

I'm experiencing the same issues and tried the same troubleshooting steps.

I agree, I have already wested 6 hrs and lost data while restore ...this is Apple’s , why user has to suffer and waste time ?

I’m suffering the same problem and have factory reset my iphone 6 times in last 1 month, the issue is still persistent..

Same problem after upgrading my iPhone 7 to iOS 11. Currently using 11.0.3 version.

Even the phone feels sluggish after upgrading to iOS 11😠

So when you set up the iPhone as new did you use it that way for about 24 to 48 hours without adding anything to see if it worked?

If you can waste your time writing a useless answer, might as well help someone in need.

Upgrading to iOS 11.1 seems to have fixed this for me 🙂
