ios 11 update phone freezing

Firstly I have cleared around 3500 emails from my folders, and removed my pics and placed them in the cloud off my laptop.

I did a full factory reset on my iPhone 6 Plus and have also changed my screen protector.

It seems to be running a lot better now .

Haven’t had an issue for a week now.

Fingers crossed it’s fixed.

Ask apple customer service to check your battery. You can do it in online.

If it’s ok then no point of replacing battery. It’s a software issue. Mine froze 4 x yesterday. I had to restart it 4 times

I did the full factory reset, set it up as a new phone. It worked all evening, locked up sometime in the middle of the night, I did the two-button restart, and it locked up again 20 minutes later. So a full restore as new does not fix this problem.

This reply was kind of self-righteous. Why do some people believe that because a problem hasn't hit them, the problem doesn't exist... "Well it isn't raining where I live, so rain does not exist!"

I too have this freezing issue, it persisted with the device completely reset, with no apps or data installed. Apple have got genuine code problems, and I know plenty of other users experiencing this issue.

seems to be a common issue - ever since the last update my phone constantly freezes and despite the aggravation of a reset the same thing has happened within a day. First time i have been disappointed with the iPhone

Steve Jobs would have never let this happen.. Shame on you Apple. I have been an Apple fan boy since iphone3. The only reason I tried a Samsung was because of the size of the screen. Since the 6Plus I knew I would never go back to Android... Untill now....... I am so disappointed... My 6Plus has frozen every other day since os11 update and sometimes more than three times a day.............. When Android users would ask me why iphone, I would always say, because it just works... all the time... untill now...........

I contacted Apple they agree to get me new battery since I am out of

warranty however no batteries in SG overall.

Shows how many users in queue with same issue.

Apple should really think about their relationship now as I’ve lost trust

in iPhone or iOS devices afters few repeated mistakes and updates making

our pockets shell out for their inappropriate product rollouts.

Exact same issue... Wasn't immediate after update, just started a day or two ago. I've had to hard reset 3-4 times now. Several otherwise reliable apps open very slow or more often crash without opening

Same thing happening to my iPhone 6 Plus after updating to iOS 11. Basically it hangs on a black screen a few times a day, eventually you may see a small spinning icon in the middle of the screen then after a minute or two it comes back on. Took some video of it the last time it happened.

Also having intermittent problems with my Bluetooth earphones as well after updating. Wondering if it’s related... :-(.

Connect the phone to iTunes, back it up, then restore iOS using iTunes.

Similar issue on my iPhone SE. It just freezes at random during normal usage. It started happening after updating to iOS 11.

Tried restoring from iTunes backup, no luck.

Now trying with resetting all settings. Let's see.

Same problem here, since day one of update to ios11, my phone (iphone 7 128gb) keeps freezing at least 5 times a day with normal use. It’s really annoying, can’t even make phone calls. Other thing is that i can’t change the volume with the buttons and need to restart or force restart to make them work.

Really worst update in iphone history. I’m really dissapointed.

My phone is back to normal again🙂 i tried nearly everything .

Delete phone reload icloud did’nt fix it 😒

But then i noticed the problem was showing at most when i use Tinder 😂 so uninstall tinder and boom problem fixed ! I also tried to install tinder again and phone is still good and with no errors 😀 so guys uninstall Tinder 😄 Maybe other Apps Will do the same , but for me it was Tinder

It looks like I might have a solution. I think it is a problem with Location Services. I noticed the problem was happening with apps which accessed location frequently, so I tried settings>General>Reset Location & Privacy Settings. Since doing so I haven’t had a freeze in 24hrs. You re-authorise apps as and when. I don’t think it’s one particular app that causes the issue, just when lots of apps access the location services. Let me know if it works for you

I went back to IOS 10.3.3 and all my problems are gone.

If I buy an Iphone is because I don't want to waste my time trying to fix issues related to the operating system or because of apps compatibility. That's apple's problem.
