iPhone brightness keeps changing

This SAVED ME. I thought I was going insane without any options in "display & brightness". Thank you!

I keep my phone near max brightness and I have exactly the same issue with my new iPhone X, running iOS 11.1.2.

There is no Auto-Brightness setting to turn off! True Tone is off. But it regularly resets itself to a lower setting.

charchar5309 and lildet I am having the same issue on my second iPhone 8 plus and Apple have informed that "Its not normal behaviour" so I would call up and discuss your options with them. They have been extremely helpful in trying to rule whether this is a hidden feature or fault with the new iPhone 8 plus or IOS 11....but even after running a sysdiagnose and uploading to Apple they have decided to replace my iPhone 8 plus for the second time. I hope its 3rd time lucky for me! Initially there were no posts when I started having this issue but I am noticing that this issue is popping up more online now. Good luck 🙂

I completly agree. They need to do better! We pay a lot of many ONLY TO HAVE GLITCHES!

I found where the auto brightness is...

Go to Settings > GENERAL > Accessability > Display Accomodations > AUTO BRIGHTNESS is there. Turn off.

Thanks, I did not realise there's a SECOND brightness setting, IN ADDITION to the one in display/settings.
I will see how this goes, but it looks like it should do the trick.
