WiFi in iOS 11 keeps turning on

Really? That’s a very apt anology.

See, I understand why Apple is doing this. I understand the need to keep apple devices connected to each other for improved experience. You miss the whole point in the name of that though. There could be more than one way to do things. A “switch” could still have 3 states. Or there could be two switches. Or Apple can keep the control totally to itself, always keeping apple devices talking to each other.

If you still don’t get it and want to keep justifying Apple, I rest my case. You win :-)

This feature would be perfect if we could just add a widget with that slide key either on the home screen or in the control center. As it is, it’s just an extra two pointless taps which are not intuitive to find/use if you aren’t aware of how the feature has been updated.

You're correct. The phones aren't getting worse. Sadly, more and more people with little understanding of technology are buying them and then blaming the hardware instead of their lack of knowledge when things don't go the way they expect.

Agreed, this one issue makes me want to leave Apple. Everyones comments were therapeutic as my internet turning on without my oermussion frustrates me! This should be labeled as a privacy issue and get the flack and bad publicity That Facebook had.

This isn't really the problem. The issue is that IOS 11 turns on automatically and thus drains the phone battery.

I also happen to me even when I go in the settings a switch it off, a few hours later it comes on by itself.

This is actually quite annoying and not handy at all. This new useless “feature” is counter productive and severely inefficient. Do better, Apple. You are obviously lost without Steve Jobs.

This and the Bluetooth.. the the horrible battery life is why I’m selling my iPhone 7. I’m out. Apple has lost me as a customer.

I have absolutely none of those issues.

Just want to state it is annoying every time I want to turn WiFi off that I have to go to Settings! This auto turning it on is dangerous to the device In my area.

This is really irritating. Anyways location services icon is still not present in control center and now this.

Please explain how merely having Wi-Fi on in your area could be "dangerous" to a device.
