Updated my 6s and now my WiFi speeds are at a crawl mostly under 25mbs in the same room as a laptop getting 75mbs download speeds.
I’ve done a Forced Restart
Toggled WiFi on/off
Forgotten WiFi networks
Reset WiFi networks
Turned off Location Services
Etc etc etc
The only thing I have done is reset the entire phone 📱
Anyone else reporting these issues?
Seeing inconsistent WiFi speeds just like you on our 70mbs connection, with both our iPhones. (7+, 6+)
Our iPads are fine. (iPad 10.5, iPad Air 2)
I’ve tried everything, including restore through iTunes as new iPhone. This never happened on 10.3.3.
Think there’s a bug in WiFi. It’s frustrating. Did you figure anything out?
Both my iPhone 6 and brand new iPad Pro, running iOS 11.2.2 are still getting only 50% of previous WiFi speed on iOS 10.x.x with my NetGear R7000 Nighthawk router (latest firmware), as measured by Ookla/Speedtest. I have tried every suggestion (except complete factory reset on iPhone) AND ALSO purchased a new iPad Pro.
Both the iPhone 6 and the iPad Pro run at full speed on most of my relatives’ other brand routers. It seems to be an incompatibility with all iOS 11 devices and SOME WiFi routers.
That’s really interesting because all of my iOS devices had horrible Wi-Fi speed with my airport extreme. None of the settings changes I tried either on the phones or on the router made any difference. I just replaced my airport extreme with a Netgear nighthawk AC 2300 router and it seems to have resolved all my issues. Strange?
I was having the same issue over this last week, tried many solutions as possible.
My conclusion is that it is something related to 5G connection at 80/MHz.
I set up my router to do the transmission of 5G at 20/40MHz and now my IPhone 6 WiFi is working normally again !
i have come to a conclusion where it only slows down the wifi when you charge your phone with wifi on

Yup that's it! Really annoying! I'm staying with 10.3.3 myself much better and stable. I find iOS 11 lags a little too! Not good!
For me Safari is the culprit. Slow or even not loading pages at all.
Installed Firefox, loads ok.

Having similar problems, BUT Puffin nor even Chrome are better than safari (which is not good at all) They actually seem to be worse...
Mine is Iphone 6s Plus, having the same problem, too annoying because of the slow wifi connection, hopes they fix this soon.
My mail takes a good 30 seconds to check all 5 accounts on wifi and bout 8 seconds on LTE. Wifi hangs and is slow. UNACCEPTABLE...By the way, yes, I did the iOS11.02 update
Yeah, real disappointed that ios 11.0.2 didn’t solve any major issue, specially this wi-fi thing...
I also have all my mailboxes set to “manual”. I wonder if it would improve if I set it to “push”
I notice some slowness in safari but not too bad. Mail is the biggest culprit.
how are you checking the speed? Lets all be on the same page when it comes to checking....
Using same servers through SpeedSmart and Speedtest apps to test. Check while devices are near each other.
My WiFi speeds are fine. 29mbps no matter if I have cellular on or off. So It’s just the mail app that’s buggy. It seems to not know what to do.
