Podcast app no longer plays next podcast. App stops playback when a podcast is finished.

Hopefully now enough feedback for Apple to reinstall the last podcaster. Wray a lot of unnecessary hassle. I could kind of understand the mistake of this latest update had there been any noticeable improvements. I can't spot any. Indeed rather difficult now to negotiate....I'll need to go follow a new YouTube tutorial....🤔😫😏

These instructions are clunky and don’t respond to the issue. How do you “use Siri” here? I just moved from an Android to an IPhone. Podcast Addict on Android would just play all of the downloaded episodes continuously. So did my old IPod. With the Iphone’s podcast app you have to click each podcast individually and click “up next” or open Siri and tell it to play the next episode (assuming you can remember the name while you’re driving)? Makes no sense. Apple needs to fix this!

Well, now I am using CastBox now, with more user friendly UI, I've already deleted the Apple podcast app to save space.

And also I can sync my listening history between my iPhone and my Amazon echo, it is really good for me to manage all my podcast subscriptions.

I completely agree. This is sooooooooooooooo stupid. What's the point of "Listen Now" now? I'm very frustrated to say the least - to have to stop every time I want to play a podcast breaks my workflow. And putting every podcast in the "play next" lineup is a hassle - if you don't remember that you've put a particular episode in the "play next" que you'll end up playing the same episode as many times as you've put it in the que. APPLE what is going on?

At the bottom or the open app on the right there is the button to set preferences. You can de select to remove a played episode and it will not delete it. Found that out the hard way. Herself this new app.

Another insomniac here who got totally stressed when I woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't get podcasts to play in succession. Thanks for the recommendations for alternative apps, which I have downloaded. So sad to see Apple's software go in this direction because useability was always one of their strong suits.

All true and even when you mark them as "play up next" they don't autoplay. You still have to stop and select the episode and hit play. Total junk.

It happen to me today. The people working on this app, works on apple? When we have something that works fine, came a new version that mess all up. Hope someone see and update quickly.

The user interface now is not understandable at all. And you're right: it's dangereous while driving!

I dont want to learn how to listen to a podcast everytime I update IOS.

I can't seem to find the episodes I've already listened to. Disappeared. There are some I'd like to listen to again.

Absolutely agree. This version is a real pain to change from a podcast to the next and doing it while driving has become extremely more dangerous. Can I just get my version 10 back please??

The idea that you're supposed to make a new station for every podcast you listen to is amazingly asinine.
