Just upgrade my iPhone 7 to iOS 11, then found out using the calculator function it become slow and poor response. All the button become slow response, I can’t touch too fast on all the calculator button function, if not it will miss the touch and won’t recieve and no response.
I miss the old calculator, it function much more smoother.
Issue occurred on IOS 11.0.0 beta 1 to official IOS 11.1.1(15B150)-iPhone 5s. The pre-install calculator app on IOS 11 has very long delay animation when taping on the math operations or equal sign. The delay is long enough that it doesn't recognize next taps by user. The purpose of the animation is to highlight buttons when tap on numbers. To solve this error, Apple should reduce animation time. Make it snappy Apple! I don't wanna use 15th century app!
Restart does not fix the problem. I downloaded a 3rd party calculator "The Calculator, and it works normally, like a calculator should. Disappointing that Apple tries to fix things that already work well, resulting in bad results.
This is not an issue just for older phones upgrading to IOS 11. I tried a friend's iPhone X, and the calculator is just as sluggish as my 6+. The issue is IOS 11 calculator is inherently sluggish. I have switched to a 3rd party calculator (lots of free ones available), and that solves the problem. But iPhone users should not have to do this to get around Apple design failures.
I was looking forward to 11.1 to fix this issue. No luck. Very disappointed in Apple's devolopers on this issue.
This is the point of seeding betas prior to releasing updates though. It is an animation that makes the calculator nearly unusable. It should have been caught.
I have same problem with 6+. Restart does not work.
No, it doesn't. And keep doing the upgrades to no avail
