update iOS 11 can't log in Apple ID

hey there

so after I updated iOS 11

and I tried to log in my Apple ID on my phone .but it "could not Sign in " (there was a problem connecting to the server.

but ! same Apple ID I could log in my iPad 4 and iPad Pro and Mac .

I don't know why just not working on my phone .


please help .thank you .

I solved the problem.


1. enter 'App Store' app.

2. try to log-in with your ID which is called X at the App Store app.

3. You can see a different Apple ID in the App Store id section after the 'could not sign in'. I will call the ID as Y.

4. press home button.

5. enter 'settings'-'iTunes and App store'.

6. log in with Y id and Y password at the Apple ID. You have to know the Y password.

7. tap Apple ID and logout.

8. log in with X id and X password at the Apple ID.


It works for me.

Ooh, this is a good idea. What I've done now is:

1. Sign out of my phone entirely

2. SIgn in with other account

-- what happens now is weird as **** though, it signs in the main account!

I'm going to try to restore the phone and sign in with the other account from scratch. I'll probably be on the phone with tech support following it up again tomorrow if this doesn't work/it continues to have weird login issues like this.

I think I have something like that.

However, this particular email that might be causing the issue is not an Apple ID anymore, it's not a rescue email anymore.


If i try to create an apple ID with it, it tells me it already exists

If I try a reset password procedure, it tells me the apple ID does not exists


My phone has become unusable (I have a apple music subscription that I can't use)


Like you point out, it's certainly due to my old US apple ID that I had for a while. I can't seem to be able to do anything about it though....

Same issue here- I’ve been dealing with it for weeks to no avail. I’ve tried everything recommended, and no help- even after updating to 11.1. Funny that I had to log into this discussion USING MY F@CKING APPLE ID and for some reason that worked....Apple, this is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. I have applications I need to download related to my occupation and my work is suffering!!!! PLEASE SQUASH THIS BUG!

Same- I’ve been working with a senior advisor for over a month now about the same issue. Everything apple had me try wasn’t working, so they gave up on me (literally- no calls back, no email responses)!!!! I guess I stumped them?

I tried factory reset and restore from my last back up, but since my Apple ID isn’t communicating with the App Store, I am now UNABLE TO USE ANY OF MY APPS!!! My phone now is like my Nokia from 2006...all I can do is make phone calls, message, and email.

Unfortunately this is now affecting my daily life and I am extremely frustrated and disappointed that apple hasn’t sacked up and fixed this issue yet!

If you are having similar issues with your Apple ID not letting you log into the App Store, DO NOT FACTORY RESET AND RESTORE.

Instead, take your iPhone and you’re Apple ID and throw it off a cliff and buy a Samsung or something else.

I’m having a similar problem in that I can’t log in to iTunes or the App Store but actually I’m not able to log into my computer at all. After I installed the latest updates and restarted my computer, I tried logging in like normal but my screen just shows a circle with a slash indicating that I’m not allowed into my account. I’m worried my computer has a virus or something and I will lose all of my data. And yes, I’ve tried turning it off and on again about five times before realizing it does nothing to help.

Yo guys!

I’ve the same problem here but this time this bug happend to me when i installed iOS 11.3 Beta 1, and now i can’t even connect to Wi-Fi. It shows to me:

“Unable to join network”, i’m sure that password is correct, i can’t install apps and i can’t login to my iCloud with my phone (i can login to Apple ID in web like Safari).

I have tried to Reset Network Settings but that doesn’t helps me.

I have tried Rebot and shuting down but nothing.

I’ll wait for next update, and if this will not fix my iPhone 5S i’ll hard reset it.

Until next update my iPhone is useless.

Can anyone help me please?

I need a solution as soon as possible.
