so after I updated iOS 11
and I tried to log in my Apple ID on my phone .but it "could not Sign in " (there was a problem connecting to the server.
but ! same Apple ID I could log in my iPad 4 and iPad Pro and Mac .
I don't know why just not working on my phone .
please help .thank you .

I solved the problem.
1. enter 'App Store' app.
2. try to log-in with your ID which is called X at the App Store app.
3. You can see a different Apple ID in the App Store id section after the 'could not sign in'. I will call the ID as Y.
4. press home button.
5. enter 'settings'-'iTunes and App store'.
6. log in with Y id and Y password at the Apple ID. You have to know the Y password.
7. tap Apple ID and logout.
8. log in with X id and X password at the Apple ID.
It works for me.
Got the same problem on my iPhone. I cannot get sign-in and cannot download my purchase.
Hope this issue will be cleared soon! Never expected any problems with iOS update ! This is the first time i’m facing a bug with the update ! Please solve this issue soon!

Same issue on my sisters iPhone 6 that I just updated to iOS 11.0.3 now there’s no way to update current apps or purchase new ones. Frustrating for sure.

This did not work for my iPhone 7 - stuck on the loop of "enter your Apple ID password" in the App store.
I’m on an iPod 6th gen and just updated to iOS 11.0.2 after having this issue on the previous version, I’ve literally spent over 8 hours trying to fix this but to no avail, can’t download anything, lost all of my music and can’t download anymore/anything else because when I try to sign in I get stuck in an endless loop. So frikin mad I’ve almost thrown this thing into a wall. (Date is 10/8/17 for future reference)

If you go to appleid.apple.com and disable two-factor authentication, then try to sign in to icloud on your ipad or phone it will work. You can then re-enable your two-factor authentication on the website afterward.
