IOS 11 incompatible with Honda handsfree bluetooth

Yes, this is similar to my experiences. And yes, the parties seem to be blaming each other. Does anyone know of a good phone number to call to register complaints? I assume that market power dictates that Honda needs to fix this, even though it apparently isn't really their fault, because it seems unlikely that Apple is going to do anything productive.

I too am still having this same issue, even after updating to 11.2.2 today. The audio works fine, music and audio books are clear. As soon as I make a phone call, everything is full of static. The person on the other end can barely hear me and I can barely hear them. Hang up, back to audible, all is good. I've tried the forget, repair, turn off, turn on dance too many times, all to no avail.

I’ve removed the little pictures on my contacts and will follow these instructions to see if they make my hands free reliable and useable.

Not too happy with the Honda internal document. Hopefully they can fix this before they lose too many customers.

Hi Becky...We've tried everything, taken the car back to the dealer 3 times since September ( brand new Acura) and nothing they could do to fix it. They said it was Apple's fault, called Apple and said it was Acura's firmware. Great :-(

That said, I believe it’s Apple’s responsibility to make it right. Just as they finally took responsibility for the planned obsolescence of their older iPhones, they need to take responsibility for this “conscious uncoupling “ from Handsfree Link.

I totally agree with you... I have a brand new Acura RDX whose phone connections have not been working since SEPTEMBER. The car was 2 months old. Unfortunately, we are still getting the run around from both Apple and Acura.

BUT i am adamant about getting this situation fixed...not only for me, but for obviously thousands of other folks who are now very distrustful of these companies. Still in contact with both of them, will let you know if anything positive happens.

All I know is that my cousin's Samsung Note 8 works perfectly with my 2017 MDX Advanced. I'm ready to update my iPhone 6 Plus anyway. Apple should realize it is easier and less costly to change a phone than buy or lease a new vehicle. Apple makes one operating system. Car manufacturers make dozens of models, all with different radios. Ever hear the old adage "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!"?

Hi. Your instructions provide absolutely no help for the problem. I just upgraded to ios 11.2.6 and the phone still does not work properly with my 2017 Acura MDX Advanced. It worked fine before going to ios 11. When are you going to fix the problem?

Please Apple fix this problem with 2014 Honda Accord!!only phone numbers show up, no names, unless they are US Cellular ... then the names show! At my next update I will drop Apple for the first time in 12 years!

I solved the problem with the iPhone 6 plus and my 2017 Acura MDX Advanced. Yesterday I ordered two Samsung Galaxy S9 plus phones for my wife and myself. Waiting 6 months for a true resolution is beyond my patience level.

Just make sure you never update your Samsung phones. Read through Android and Samsung forums and you’ll see that they have the exact same problem when new OS versions are released. This is not an iPhone only problem.

My Wife's IPhone 6S is having Bluetooth and Contacts problems with her 2014 Honda Odyssey.

Not only is the Honda phone display acting weird, (not syncing contacts, saying she's on a call when she is not..." but it has also messed with her contacts and how they appear on her iPhone(when not connected to the odyssey).

Her contact list is still intact, but all the numbers have had the "()" and "-" taken out. She can no longer tell who is calling her as it just show's the number, but when you go into her contacts, it shows that number tied to a contact in her address book.

I’ve having the same issue with my iphone 6s plus ever since my ios 11.2.6 update. Now i cant view my apple music playlist on my car player. On the other hand, it works fluently with Spotify...which is kind of weird.

I have a 2016 CRV and it's working fine with an iPhone 7. It seems like it takes a little longer to initially connect but once it's connected it doesn't lose the connection.

I have a 2017 Acura RDX with the same problem. Neither Apple or Honda of America have helped resolve this HUGE problem.
