I travel internationally extensively for work. I have always had my iPhone Time Zone set to "Set Automatically." When I arrive at my destination and connect to the WiFi, the iPhone correctly set the time.
However, since iOS 11, now when I turn my phone to Airplane Mode when I go to bed, the time zone reverts to my home time zone. This caused me to miss an alarm that I set!!! Please fix this!!

Actually no, the time zone is updating, but it strangely reverts back to my home time zone when in Airplane Mode. This bug was introduced when I updated to iOS 11. I'm hoping it gets fixed in 11.1. If not I'll try reinstalling iOS as you suggested.

The iOS 11.3.1 update fixed the bug on my personal iPhone 8. This never presented as an issue on my Army-issued iPhone 6s.
IOS 11.4 now loaded - fault still remains.

Time zone changes back to Automatic on power up.

Wrong. I just update to 11.4 and the phone set on auto still shows in Austin Texas. I am in New Mexico and just left Lubbock Texas. What a POS
iOS 11.4.1> issue still present: auto is reset to ON when restarting the phone. iPhone SE here.
