Video streaming issue with safari & IOS 11

Hello. Since I updated mi iPad Air wifi+3g with ios11, when streaming videos over the net, video sequences repeat themselves backward (15 seconds loop 3 or 4 times) before to keep playing the rest of the video for 5 minutes and the same issue appears again. I noticed that the timer is not accurate and acts erratically. Tried google chrome, same issue than with safari. My soon iPad Air WiFi and my wife iPad Air WiFi +3g, all os them running ios11 have the same problem. It is impossible to stream videos. Any ideas?

Thank you Tudie 27 ! I downloaded the Aloha app from the App Store and it did indeed solve the problem. Tested it with a few embedded videos over the weekend and found no more issues. It looks like the Aloha app uses a different videoplayer (not QuickTime). Because other web browsers like Firefox use the same videoplayer as Safari they all suffer from the same issue since the iOS 11 update.

I use my iPad for video quite a lot as well. I agree with you that iOS 11 has been a major disappointment. I have two other iOS devices that still run iOS 10.3.3 (because they can’t be updated to iOS 11) and they have no problems at all with video streaming in Safari.

What is even more disappointing is that Apple hasn’t done anything to address this two months after iOS 11 was released. There must be millions of people who are experiencing the same problem and Apple just doesn’t seem to care.

Thanks Tyejanes. It worked for me too. Now just waiting for Apple to acknowledge the problem and do something about it so embedded video in Safari will work glitch-free again too 😐.

Same issue here on my iPad Air. Apple needs to get this issue fixed ASAP. This has crippled all my video streaming since ISO 11 update.

Will be awhile before I trust another Apple update.

Have to agree. I’ve got a Asus Transformer that I’ve had for years that I’m using now to stream because I’m so fed up with this latest update for my iPad.

Nope. Using Aloha I have the same problem. The wifi is not very fast, though.

How did you get your iPad mini back to iOS 10 my iPad Pro does the same video looping would love to get iOS 10 back since apple don’t seem to care about the video looping.

Hi. You can only install an older iOS version in the few weeks after a new version is released. After that, Apple stops signing (verifying) the file, and the installer will reject it.

I use my iPad mostly for streaming, before this issue I never though of competitors, I am due for an Update and SURFACE PRO is looking more appealing.

Apple please fix the issue

OMG i have this problem more than 2 months. really i cant use my ipad anymore. dont know how no one still cant fix this. Apple, just google the problem, may you find someone to answer!!!
