iPhone 8 bluetooth issues

My device is one of those cheapy plug in the cigarette lighter and set the radio frequency. We bought 2 of them and I have the same issue with each. It could be the Bluetooth version but distance seems to be the factor. Not so big a deal, I pull it out, push it in and it auto-pairs. Almost routine now.

I have the same problem with my iPhone 8 plus, keep disconnecting from my jeep wrangler 2014 Uconnect 430, I did all possible troubleshooting anyone work. I talk with Uconnect and they don't have any solution and I did talk to apple same thing no solution... my very disappointed first bad experience with an Apple product!

Still nothing from Apple? I started my car today and it connected then disconnected and then connected etc etc. It’s so dangerous as you just want to turn Bluetooth off but you are driving.

This is ridiculous by Apple. What can we do to sort this as it’s a major issue?

I don’t think crApple is paying attention to all our complaints. After going through all the comments here, I realized that there is no solution to this problem. What a shame to apple! The iPhone 8 won’t connect to my Honda. Am returning it tomorrow. Samsung here I come!

I’ve been waiting on 11.2 but it was not available when I checked (again) late yesterday afternoon. I see it is this morning so will be updating and testing again shortly. Will post my results later today. Thanks for the notice.

We had to manually save all of the photos and contacts to a hard drive

If you use the iCloud photo library there is little need to copy your photos, they are not on your phone to lose.

Yes, at the time I only had 5gb of storage in the cloud. I had not upgraded my account yet. There was no way that over 8000 photos was going to fit and I personally wasn't a huge fan of icloud at the time. I now see the advantage and have upgraded. Thanks.

Using it makes a change of device, and the addition of an extra device simple. Contacts and Calendars etc are stored there and offer the same advantage, sign into your account and they return to your phone.

I have the same problem with my Iphone 8+. Contacted Apple. They state I should contact Honda.

Have / had no problems with Iphone 6 and 6s (even updated).

Honda has no answers on its website.

Need a clear response from Apple if we should wait for a fix / solution or what is going on.

I just got my iphone 8 last week, hating it. I had no issues with the 6 but now can't get my bluetooth in my 2014 traverse or my home phone to link at all, or my older bluetooth ear piece, really frustrating and I am fully updated with all the patches.

Nice to know that I'm having trouble with my BMW, my coffee buddy is having issues with his Ford F-150, and my niece can't get Bluetooth with her CR-V. None of us are having those problems but if the article says we are...

I would also disagree with his statement regarding problems not starting until iOS 8.

I’m glad to hear that someone has resolved their issues. unfortunately the update to 11.2 did NOT resolve my hearing aid issues. I am so disappointed in Apple’s Lack of resolution. I’ve been on the phone multiple times with their senior tech folks, been to the store. Nothing. It is extremely disconcerting to receive a phone call and for your phone to not know where to send the audio for up to 5 seconds. And then throw in my U-Connect and I get headaches and lost calls because people don’t think I’ve answered. This really needs to be fixed soon. My phone is essentially unusable as we are today.

I'm also having bluetooth connection issues with my iPhone 8+ and Amazon Echo device. Not sure which device is source of problem, but it sure is annoying. Apple has tried to help, but so far have not fixed problem.

Again this morning while I sit at my desk working, I'm within 2 feet of my phone and my 8 Plus dropped my bluetooth ear buds and stated that they were not in range, and then connected back to them. My kids have used these same ear buds with their Kindle Fire without issues. How is an $800 iPhone less dependable than a $100 Kindle Fire?

Edit: Looking back at your reply, I understand. I have deleted all bluetooth devices and added them back. This works for a while, then after reconnecting them, the issue start. While I typed this, my phone dropped the connection and reconnected. This is getting old....fast....

I recently lost my iPhone7 so l brought the new iPhone 8 because I really like the Qi wireless charging function. I cannot believe it cannot connect with my wireless headphones, which I use everyday for work and travel. My iOS is the latest 11.2.2 version. So are there any ways to fix the connection problem? Is it hardware or firmware or software issues? I am really disappointed with Apple. It’s amazing how one guy can make such a huge quality difference. Apple product quality is clearly going down hill by the day!!
