With the iOS 11 update, Alarm volume extremely low.

I can’t seem to control my alarm volume. It says volume all the way up but alarm is still very low.

Agreed. Ever since I purchased my iPhone 8, the alarm comes on blaring loud. I’ve adjusted the volume in the sound & haptics, but every morning the alarm comes back on extremely loud. Also, I can’t adjust volume on side, that only controls my ringer. Anything work for you?

Yes!! Since when do I want the volume to be the same level for EVERYTHING???!!! I just got the latest updat 11.2.5 and it has not been fixed. None of the suggestions made will work. I can manually change the volume sound on my alarm but when it goes off, it’s the same volume as my ringtone & notifications. I’m getting really frustrated with it, I hope apple fixes this! I have iPhone 7

I agree, opposite problem! I have the volume turned all the way up on the phone because I work in a louder environment. I only need a little volume to wake up but currently I can wake up the neighbors! My wife hates my iPhone's alarm and constantly bugs me to switch to Android for the independent alarm control. I have looked for specialized Apps but haven't found anything that will give me this option.

Same exact problem as 4frank2 and panda, thank you, that is exactly it. I couldn't figure out why I kept missing the countdown timer I set, but the problem is exactly what they said. If you are on your phone or look at your phone (with the iphone X) when the alarm is going or is about to go off, the volume is automatically cut to a fraction of the normal alarm volume. It makes it very easy to miss or forget about an alarm, as once the volume reduces it stays at that lower volume. And at that lower volume it's easy to swipe away the notification out of habit (for us long time apple users), especially while you are in the middle of something else like talking with speakerphone on or sending a text, and not even realize what you've done.

So for the X, it's not a settings issue, it's appears it is some new feature with the face id that tries to make the alarm or timer smarter, but i don't like it. Where's the ability to disable this feature?!
