Iphone 8 plus low call volume

Hi there,

I recently purchased the iPhone 8 + and the issue i am having is very low call volume while off loudspeaker. I also have an iphone 6 plus running IOS 11 and the difference in volume on calls is enourmous. I already tried switching off “phone noice cancelation” with little improvement. Everything else on the 8 + works perfectly therefore its hard to believe that there is a defect.

Can anyone offer any advice? Or is someone experiencing similar issues? Would appriciate any and all help!

Is there a clear plastic protector covering the face of the phone? I felt really dumb when I realized that was the case with my volume when on calls. I kept the cover on when I bought the phone, but it covers the earpiece.

The plastic wrapping which came on your phone, was never intended to remain on the phone. It is intended to protect the phone during transport. There are many excellent aftermarket Screen Protectors you can purchase for your phone, which will not block the the speaker on your phone.

I don't know if there was an answer yet, but if you want your phone to play louder music from its speakers go to

Settings> Music, go to bottom and turn off sound check. You can also set EQ to off or late night. Hope this helps... (i've recently noticed that my iPhone 8plus music sounded a lot quieter and this worked right away)

I purchased my iphone 8 on August 5, 2018. Lately, when I answer a call, the call begins loud and clear about 5 minutes in the call I can bearly hear the caller. There's no problem when I place the call on speaker. But I don't like using the speaker. Apple needs to replace all these products until they can fix it. I am very unhappy with this purchase. Help!
