Couldn't find 'All My File' on Finder's sidebar

I updated to High Sierra but I couldn't find All My File on Finder's sidebar, There's no such icon in finder preference neither. I found this shortcut is very helpful but why Apple delete it?

I didn't even notice it was gone. Never found it useful.

You can create your own search folder.

With Finder Prefs set to start a search in current folder,

Select your Home folder and type cmd-F

In the criteria, Option-Click on the + button.

Delete the first criteria just leaving the Any of the following are true

Change the first item under Any to Kind is Document

Add additional criteria under Any and set Kind to whatever else you want .

Save it and have it shown in Sidebar.

and I was explaining in response to your comment which was something like "never saw the point of it" (It's on page 1 and this is on page 6 so I can't see it now), how useful the facility is for SOME people.

That's why I try to quote what I am replying to.

I guess I'm now more confused. Is the issue here that all the files aren't shown or that people can't find sort?

Apple kludged up the Sort with Arrange, so it is much more difficult to sort the files.

Thank you for all your help! I, too, used the All My Files feature for reasons similar to those others have listed.

Others made similar suggestions to yours BUT you actually gave the very important instruction to hold down the command key to get the "any" option when creating a smart folder. I was looking everywhere and context-clicking everywhere. It wasn't intuitive to me. But now I know to try this as an option at other times as well. (Rather like when I told my mom about the context menu itself; she had no idea, thought it was amazing secret knowledge.)

However, I have a problem in creating a smart folder that I can't figure out. Perhaps this is not the right forum for it, but I began by attempting to create a folder similar to All My Files, so it's related.

I create a smart folder and add the criteria "kind" and include what I want to include: kind matches "any" of "documents," or "pdf". Ok, it's showing me what looks like an appropriate output.

I add the criteria "Last Modified Date" is "within last" 60 days. (This is not added as an "any" but an "and." That is, it's just an additional line in th e main criteria.) When I do this -- no matter what I put in place of "60," it shows no files.

I tried "Last Opened Date" instead, but still no files are returned.

(I have definitely both opened and modified files within the last 60 to 10000 days 😉 )

Do you have any suggestions for what I am doing wrong here? Thank you!
