Final Cut Pro X 10.3.4 (!) on High Sierra - crashing

Are you actually talking about A/V output, or using as a second display? (AFAICT one should not even be able to use a VGA monitor as A/V output)

Assuming the answer is yes:

Did you go into Preferences, and select which device to use as AV Output?

Assuming the answer is no (i.e., that you really wanted something like Show in secondary display->Viewers):

You have to do a little coercing via System Preferences->Displays->Arrangement.

If that is the case, let me know and I will tell you how.

I am also having issues. While I am editing the curser just freezes, and doesn't allow me to continue until I force quit the program.

It's happening every few minutes and I don't know what to do. 3 days ago it was working perfectly, just yesterday it started having issues.

Any suggestions? I updated to the latest High Sierra software, so I assume it had something to do with that?

Really need this program for work projects. :/

Do you have a monitor attached?

I deleted Preferences and that didn't work.

Needs new drivers for HS? What exactly is the monitor? That would be really helpful.

I purchased the LG Ultra Fine 5K from the Apple store along with a new MacBook Pro all purchased this week

I did this and it still crashed

I have this issue too. I reinstalled Final Cut X and that seemed to work for a day and then we were back to square 1. This time it just closes with absolutely no action.
