Final Cut Pro X 10.3.4 (!) on High Sierra - crashing

Hi.

After upgrading (new MacBook Pro Touch Bar) to High Sierra, my Final Cut Pro X 10.3.4 (!!! - supposed to bo compatible with High Sierra) is crushing:

- when loading an existing library

- when loading an existing project

- when creating a new (empty) project

- when importing media files to a newly created library

In other words, nothing is working !

Obviously there are some issues with compatibility...

Any ideas ?

Solutions ?

Apple, R U working on fixing it ? - I'm sure other users report similar problems...

Will appreciate any feedback.

Start by deleting preferences. They can become corrupted and cause all sorts of problems. Hold down command and option while starting and click Delete Preferences. Then open your library and try.

Problem really started when Apple stopped making monitors and had to rely on others. Don’t know they don’t take it up again. The iMac 5K has a great monitor.

Any luck with this issue, I have been on the phone with FCPX Application help and still no answers or fixes that I can find yet... has made my work on the Mac completely useless :-(

I upgraded yesterday from High Sierra 10.13.1 to 10.13.2

Today Final Cut Pro X 10.3.4 CRASHES when I tried to move some scans around.

iMac, 32GB RAM, 3TB SSD Fusion Drive.

This is really good to know. I am a first time Mac user and I assumed all software updates were good to use. I'm learning the hard way.

Ok, tried disconnecting the external monitor, and... FCPX is loading libraries and projects.

(so, as you wrote above, it's the external monitor issue...)

BUT - all my plug-ins are GONE. Not single one is there!!!

Any ideas?

(my projects are all RED screen, since almost every clip uses plug-ins)

Are they still in the correct location? Have you contacted the developers?

I'm finding it incredibly surprising that people using large numbers of plugins are installing a brand new OS on the first day of its realize, especially if they're in the middle of a project.
