I have very little technical skill but have been reading all of the frustration regarding sending videos to Non-Apple devices. I too have been experiencing the same problem and it does not appear that simply reducing the video quality will solve it. By chance I opened messaging app and recorded the video from inside messaging app and was able to send the video to an android phone without any delay or difficulty. I don’t know if this is a proper fix but hopefully help may help someone.

Hello Kylebull85.
Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
If I'm understanding correctly, you are having trouble sending videos to your wife's Android phone. I will be happy to help.
Check out the following steps to see if it helps from our article: If you can‘t send or receive messages on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Try these steps first
- Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
- Check your network connection. To send a message as iMessage or MMS, you need a cellular data or Wi-Fi connection. To send an SMS message, you need to have a cellular network connection. If you turn on Wi-Fi Calling, you can send SMS messages over Wi-Fi.
- Check with your carrier to see if the type of message you’re trying to send, like MMS or SMS, is supported.
- If you’re trying to send group MMS messages on an iPhone, go to Settings > Messages and turn on MMS Messaging. If you don't see an option to turn on MMS Messaging or Group Messaging on your iPhone, then your carrier might not support this feature.
- Make sure that you entered the correct phone number or email address for the contact.
Cheers.
Just got off the phone with apple...They had me reset my phone... Go to Settings.... General.... Reset..( its all the way down) .... then hit Reset All Settings... and Guess what... It worked..... If it worked for you let me know... Thank everyone..
I just reset my IPhone 6 as it states in the feed. Still cannot send video, 1080p HD at 30 fps, to any Android phone. Not happy with this last update because it was fine until I did the update. Help please.
Count me in as someone who can’t send videos to android users. Iphone SE with the latest software. My parents use androids and I haven’t been able to send them videos of my son. Really disappointing. None of the proposed fixes have worked.
I ver an iPhone 6 Plus on Verizon. Having he same issue.. I ran some tests and narrowed it down to Verizon’s cellular network. They restrict the size of video you can send to a lower level so it will not bog down their network. If you send that video to an iPhone user over WiFi it will work...

I cannot send the videos while connected to WiFi. I believe it’s a software issue.

I too have Verizon and CAN send videos to iPhones users regardless of WiFi or LTE network. It’s sending it to droid phones that is the issue. Whether I’m on WiFi or not, it won’t send. 10 sec clips or longer. Nothing fixes it. I’ve updated my phone to the most recent. Hard reset my phone and even simply shut it down and restarted it back up. All signs point to nothing fixing it.
This information is wrong. A picture isn't even 1.2mb. The people having issues including myself were able to send 10-20 second 1080p videos which is close to 30 mb where we previously used to be able to send over 1 minute long videos. I have multiple responses on the thread and posted my troubleshooting method.

What carrier settings version do you have? Verizon released a new one a couple of days ago. People have reported that it resolved the issue for them. I'm showing 30.1.
Go to Settings>General>About>Carrier Version.
If you're showing a lower number, got to Settings>Phone. Opening that will often trigger the update. If that doesn't work, I'd suggest Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. You'll lose saved WiFi passwords but nothing else.

@ seabright, this is weird I posted this message the same time as you lol. I have the same 30.1 carrier update as you. When I noticed this update, it fixed the problem for me. Nice!
Great minds think alike? Glad you got it working again.
Lol thanks. This was a great forum, instead of redundancy, people were troubleshooting and offering better and better resolutions until we finally narrowed it down. I think it helped that people like myself have actually called Verizon and advanced apple technicians to report these problems. Im sure apple and verizon communicated and figured out who was causing problems lol. Verizon told me it was an apple issue. It ended up being a verizon carrier settings update.
Still a no go for me. I’m on Xfinity mobile which uses Verizon’s network I believe. Guess I’ll have to wait and see if Xfinity gets an update.
I do remember getting a message stating carrier settings were updated a couple of weeks back, which is when I noticed the problem.

It absolutely did. And I knew the answer because someone else posted it somewhere in the forum. Everyone learns something.
