I don't think so, because the same problem occurred with my girlfriend's iPhone 5S and she never uses any Bluetooth device.

The only solution we have to figure out here in Hungary is to call our carrier and ask it to disable the "hide Caller ID" function. There are phones with three option for "send caller ID" function. Send, hide and "use carrier settings". If you select the "use carrier settings" option, the phone will use the the carrier's default settings. For example the Hungarian Telekom usually hides the ID, but the Telenor doesn't. But if the "hide caller ID" function is enabled on the carrier side, BUT you choose "send caller ID" on the iPhone settings, the iPhone's setup should override the carrier's settings. Due to the lack of "use carrier settings" option the iPhone should always override the carrier's setting in that way you choose, but it looks like this function is not working properly.

So the best you can do is call your carrier to disable the "hide caller ID" (or enable the "send caller ID" depending of the carrier) function on your number. It worth a try. (By the way you can try to use your carrier's app (if it exists) to set it up correctly)

Same problem here. I couldn't find your thread so I made new one earlier today.

Hope Apple addresses this issue sooner, since people I do business with are declining my calls because it's showing on their devices as No Caller ID.

I also called my carrier - Telenor Bulgaria and they’ve said the only thing they can do is to fully disable the “show my number” feature which does not suite me, since i want to be able to hide my number when i have to. They’ve also said that other Telenor customers have contacted them with the samw issue.

Its iOS related 100%

Got tips from a friend and it's helping me on a day by day basis. I still need to actively do this every other day, but it's the least bad solution I have found.

Go to Carrier/Network selection: switch off

Go back to Phone/Show my caller ID and now it's possible to turn the button on

If you go back to Carrier/Network selection, it has now switched to "Automatic" by itself.

Hi everyone,

I think I have found a way to activate this error.

At least it works every time I do it on my iPhone 6, iOS 11.0.3

Network carrier: PLUS GSM, I am in Poland.

Please follow this instruction and check:

1. go to Settings-Phone-Show My Caller ID, and switch it on

2. make a test call and make sure your number is visible.

3. go to Settings-Carrier and switch off automatic network selection

4. wait until all networks will be visible and choose one of your NON home networks (the one you can not log in to)

5. wait until you see in the upper left corner "No Service"

6. now go back and chose manually your home network

7. in upper left corner you should see again your carrier network logo

8. now make another test call... and BOOM! "Private no." calling

9. go to Settings-Phone-Show My Caller ID (just check, it should be on), and your number will be visible again

Now who and how fast can finally fix this?!
