IMAP email account greyed out after iOS 11 upgrade

Hello

I recently upgraded to iOS11 and now my IMAP email account is greyed out in the Mail app. I can only view messages through the All Inboxes view. Sometimes this doesn't even work and I need to reboot to get the All Inboxes view to be selectable and not greyed out.

iOS 11.0.1 did not fix the issue.

I have tried deleting and recreating the mail account. Initially the account in Mail is then not greyed out but it can't be selected, then it turns grey.

I don't have any issues with my Exchange account.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

I’m also having this issue with a non-Exchange IMAP and can’t select any folders except for ‘Flagged’. Tried resetting, deleting/re-adding the account... nothing has worked.

We are one of these smaller ISPs, and we have hundreds of our customers complain to us about this issue :/

Yes, we run what is known in Cyrus IMAP parlance as a Discrete Murder topology.

I do not see the errors you state.

Same problem here with iOS 11.0.3. E-Mail provider is not Gmail or the likes.

Exact same problem on both my iPad Air and iPad Pro 10.5. Unfortunately, 11.1 didn't fix the problem.

Well, I started to look out for other mail apps. Can somebody suggest a lightweight mail client for iOS?I don't need heavy modification capabilities.

I've started using Outlook for iOS and it works great. IMAP setup was painless.

Ironically I am still using Mail for my work Exchange account. I might change this over later.

Cancel that, Outlook for iOS can't block remote images, how lame.

Am using Spark now and seems to be pretty good 🙂
