Hi there, burugupalli!
From your post, I see that you have been using iOS 11 and have noticed that since updating, the time no longer appears on your Lock screen. I’d be more than happy to help!
The first recommendation I have is to restart your iPhone, if you have not already. You can follow instructions here to do that: Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support.
If the time still does not show after restarting, make sure your iOS is up to date; iOS 11.0.1 has been released, and may help: Update the iOS on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support.
Should the time still not be visible, please reinstall iOS 11 using the steps under “Put your device in recovery mode and set it up again” here: If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support. Even though the title of the article doesn’t exactly match your issue, the steps to reinstall are the same. Reinstalling iOS 11 won’t remove any content from your iPhone, but I would still recommend backing up before beginning: How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support.
If you continue to have trouble with your time displaying on the Lock screen, don’t hesitate to respond back.
Thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities! Have a great day.

I also have the same problem. I have tried restarting like you said but it doesn’t help. I cannot see my time and notifications on tthe lock screen ever since I updated the iOS. I didn’t want to update but they do it automatically. Apple, could you please let it be when we don’t want to update. I am fine with the old IOS and I don’t use IPhone X or other version that needs the Face ID in the update. That’s just a waste of memory space for me. Please give us a chance to keep the old software we are happy with. So many bugs in the new software.

It's a temporary solution. I've seen this happen since the first public beta on the iPhone 6S.

What I've found it's related to either a notification that triggers the lockscreen to crash, I've also seen it happen when switching between the lock screen and camera or the notification center (scrolling left/right).

The hard reset always fixes it though, until it crashes again. Sometimes works for days on end without crashing, sometimes crashes multiple times a day.

Seems like more apple stealth, they want us to continually open the phone to even see the time now (Brain washing). Lets face it, this is something a sony-erikson from the 1990's could do consistently. First we get nagged to update, I did mine half asleep without realising, then battery life is slower to the extent Siri doesn't work, now they trying to force us to lose our 3.5mm jack.

I am in 11.2. I have a 7 plus. I had the problem and the phone was replaced. I still had the problem and tried everything, including resetting and restoring from a current iTunes backup, an older iTunes backup and iCloud backup. I had my phone replaced AGAIN so I’m now on my third phone. I’ve had it for two days the problem came back and when I restarted my phone the fix lasted for less than an hour. I AM OVER IT. Thankfully I now have an Apple Watch so I can still see the time and notifications there. Very disappointed.
