You don't have enough data to make the statement ...very small percentage... Just because the "hundred" that you have seen has not reported the problem doesn't mean that they have not or will not experienced the problem. Nor do you know what people not in your sphere of influence have experienced. There could be millions of people who have visited this post looking for a solution to their blurry screen but not commented and we have no data on that.
There is no guarantee that the process that you mentioned will solve the problem.
People like to choose the easy solution which in this case is to restart the device or perhaps they learned to close and restart the app on their own and not bother to report it to you or apple. This is why I have been encouraging people to contact Apple so they know how many people are having this problem.
You may be on to something with your observation that only one person is having this problem. My magnetic personality has been known to mess up electronics. Perhaps their are others like me.
