When I try and use my phone normally the screen comes up very blurry, you can see it is the most recent contacts black and red, missed calls, etc, just no way to do anything with the screen. I can use Siri and call that way but the other is not legible at all. Anyone have suggestions?

I had this same issue and i was able to resolve it. I double clicked the home button and closed all apps by swiping them to the top. Then i reopened the phone app and it was normal.
Have you contacted Apple to tell them of this problem? The more people that they hear from the more likely it will get fixed. Make sure to tell them about this discussion.
My 7+ 11.0.3 has only done it once in the six weeks that I have owned it. I keep 4-10 apps open all the time.

Precisely my problem. This has happened to me at least a dozen times in the past 3 weeks. My question is why are Apple people quiet on the issue??
It works for me to close apps. I guess the new iphones don't have enough memory to keep a lot of apps open at once...
The restart worked. I turn off my phone every night and the next day the blurry was back. I’m afraid to try the restore. Need Apple to fix this problem with an update or let me go back to a previous IOS version.

Me again, I'm going to try the new IOS 11.3 to see if it helps. Hope so since it's still happening. I did a soft reboot too and that didn't help.
You mean beside the double click home and swipe to close blurry app method?
Everybody here needs to contact Apple to report their experiences. This will let them know many people are having this issue and may prompt them to work to solve the problem. I wouldn't expect a fix before the next revision.

Apple is the only entity that can provide a permanent solution. The more people that contact them about this problem the bigger they will think the problem is and the more likely they'll put in effort to fix it. Call them.
I personally think it is a very large issue, there are more hidden bugs that Apple knows about and are working on but unable to fix yet. Another issue with mine is when texting and I hit the arrow back button to text another person the current person I am texting rolls up several messages back immediately, very frustrating. Not only do I have to roll it back down but also have to hit the return twice to get the opportunity to select another person to text. Regarding the blurry part, well nothing has really worked yet, I just deal with it. I have found if you press the home key twice to get rid of the open windows, if you get rid of them all and press the phone key "sometimes" it comes back clear and ready to select a recent caller and dial out. One thing for sure is I will be glad when this gets fixed as I also get a million emails concerning this issue. Part of progress I guess. Thanks to all who have tried. ~rcj1960
Yes, restart solves the issue, but just for a few hours, the longest period has been overnight. Why don’t the Apple people fix this problem? There are enough of us out here who all have the same experience. Things like this never happened when Steve was running Apple!
have now gone since Nov 5 and no problems. started on her new Iphone 8... every 1-3 days...
back up data
restore to factory settings
install latest ios complete install.... not bits and pieces
then let itunes do the install of files etc from backup
no problems to date. 24 days.(lets hope this continues) Iphone 8
Because number one, we're all fellow users here, and number two, it simply isn't happening to most people.
This only worked temporarily for me. It came back but since I've udated to IOS 11.03 I haven't had the blurry screen.
Actually, it is happening to a lot of people. I'm having that problem. Restart momentarily fixes the problem, but then it comes back again. People are perhaps just not reporting it as a problem.
Thanks for all the replies, I know Apple has to be working on it. Another "quirk" I've found is that when reading text messages and I try to arrow back to my list of recent messages and I click on the top arrow back (to get out of the last message sent and be able to send messages to another person) instead of taking me back to that list my phone rolls backwards several messages on the same person I am just finished texting. So then I either have to roll down to be able to send that person another message or click the arrow button again to get to the list of texts to choose another person. This is also annoying. Doesn't happen all the time but more than half the time.
I have this problem too after the last update, can do anithing just hard restart, this is ridiculous and not expected from Apple, please solve this problem evreyone I know that has the new IOS has experienced this issue, please fix it or let us know what setting triggers this problem
