When adding an event in calendar, if you try to add a location, the screen locks up and you have to force close the app. I have done a complete reset and download of IOS 11 and still have the problem.
I have now found this exact problem on two Ipad Airs and Air 2, as well as my 6s IPhone. If you add an event to your calendar and then try to type in a location, the calendar will lock up and has to be forced closed to clear. For example, try typing in “test” as an event and then try to add a location by typing any letter in the “location” box. All my devices will immediately lock up the calendar at this point. This situation started with the latest IOS incremental update as far as I can determine.
Apple support suggested I reinstall the operating system, but that did not correct the problem.
Do you mean IOS 11.1.2 or do you actually have 11.2 which has not been issued to my knowledge?
IOS 11.1.2 did not fix the problem on my IPhone 6s nor my IPad Air2.
Both my 6S & iPad Air2 have this issue.

Curious if this resolves the calendar issue for anyone who has upgraded to 11.2.
I installed 11.2 on my iPhone and iPad. It does NOT fix the problem. Still using the zzzz work around. Very disappointing.
11.2 does not resolve the problem.
Best way to proceed- remove iPhone calendar. Use google calendar instead assuming you are a gmail subscriber.

The act of turning off contacts sync in iCloud and back on seems to have solved.
For ten minutes. Once it populates it fails again.
Later I will tell u what makes the system fail but Spoke seems not want to fix and admit.
Just think of Geo Locations c u later.

This worked for me also -- I just turned off the iCloud use by Contacts. Now there is no freezing when I type in an address or location for a calendar item. Thanks!!
