When adding an event in calendar, if you try to add a location, the screen locks up and you have to force close the app. I have done a complete reset and download of IOS 11 and still have the problem.
I have now found this exact problem on two Ipad Airs and Air 2, as well as my 6s IPhone. If you add an event to your calendar and then try to type in a location, the calendar will lock up and has to be forced closed to clear. For example, try typing in “test” as an event and then try to add a location by typing any letter in the “location” box. All my devices will immediately lock up the calendar at this point. This situation started with the latest IOS incremental update as far as I can determine.
Apple support suggested I reinstall the operating system, but that did not correct the problem.
BOB- were you able to fix this?
Anybody find a resolution to this yet? None of the iOS 11 updates after fixed this issue.11.0.3 is my current version.
No fix yet--spoke to apple support today and they want me to totally resinstall iOS 11. Did anyone try this? Thanks.
I am having similar but quirky results. Calendar freezes but only in November. I force quit but doesn’t help.
I was told by apple that this problem is only affecting hundreds of users, which is not enough people to make this a priority. Very frustrating.

How do you "totally reinstall IOS-11?"
Restore the phone to factory settings and start again. 😟
I’m having this same issue. It’s obviously not a perfect fix, but I was able to successfully copy and paste the address into the location bar rather than type it in.
After this iOS bug, I've discovered the Google Calendar app and never felt so satisfied.
The native iOS app is so simple and limited compared with the other one.

Just wanted to report that the the issue is still resolved for me even after the 11.1 update. Has anyone tried deleting the calendar app and reinstalling it?

I’ve had the same problem since installing IOS 11. I just installed 11.2 and it fixed the problem on my iphone 8 but still have the issue on my 2017 iPad. Strange...
