My yahoo email is not updating the inbox after I upgraded to iOS 11.0.1. The junk (spam) email still works but not the inbox. I have removed it and rebooted several times. The yahoo mail app works fine but I do not want to use it permanently. Any thoughts?

I've been having this issue for the last two iOS updates so I find it hard to believe it's a Yahoo! issue. Something Apple changes seems to be causing issues with the ability to get email. Not Happy!
YahooM/Apple app is a total complete mess - in addition to emails not getting delivered, calendar and contacts don't sync - total mess
Same issue on iPhone 7+ and iPad. Tried everything mentioned above to no avail.
FWIW, I use Outlook on my iPhone for Gmail, Yahoo, and my work Exchange account. No problems at all with Yahoo so maybe try a different mail client.
All of a sudden last week yahoo started working again with iPhone native email. Maybe it’s fixed. We’ll see.
Thanks Gregg279.... Manually configuring incoming with imap.mail.yahoo.com and outgoing with smtp.mail.yahoo.com as mentioned in SLN3702 has fixed this annoying problem for me. Cheers
