Yahoo email not working in mail app with iOS 11

My yahoo account receives mail, but it won’t let me send any mail, it says my password or username is incorrect and it is so frustrating!

I’ve had the same type of problem even after I did the update last night. I can’t send mail though from my yahoo on my mail. I’m using the yahoo app now too.

I do not like the Yahoo ap. I turned off banners for it and its flooding my lock screen with all this mail notifications. So annoying. Why can't they fix this?

Thank you, this worked to now receive email in addition to send. However, as we had to choose "other" rather than Yahoo, it doesn't sync my calendar! Argh! Frustrating.

I am in Yahoo, account security & there is no setting "unsecure app from signing into your mail account"

I just did that on Yahoo, changed to allow apps that may use a less secure sign in . But yahoo is telling that it is not safe.. I don't know what to do???

I think it depends on application you are using to access Yahoo email. Although I am no expert I think using Apple to access Yahoo mail would be safe.

That never worked for me, continued to get the message about incorrect ID & password

I am going to use the app for now. This whole thing makes me uneasy. I want to see if Apple corrects this nonsense with a new update. I think they must have gotten bombarded with calls today.

same here... iPhone 6+ yahoo mail.

In settings, there is NO place to enter email password.

deleted account, recreated account, shut down, and nothing...

it is maddening.
