Album cover won't show in Finder

Just to give some hope: Did playing with Onyx and Repair Permissions and all of a sudden artwork came back for one track located on desktop. Even after several restarts the artwork of this track persists! 🙂 Added other tracks on desktop but no artwork is showing, this also persists. 😠

I've seen something like that pop in and out a few betas back but up until beta 2 I had all my prior saved mp3's still showing artwork. After beta 2 of 10.13.2 every single file on my computer audio related shows the same generic icon. If I associate mp3's to open with Vox for instance, I can briefly see the vox icon behind the generic one if I toggle icon previews off and on in finder view options, but it then stays on the generic icon. Something weird is going on here that drives me crazy that I can't workaround somehow. I wonder if everyone has this same issue or any 10.13.2 beta users have normal previews? This just seems so basic that you have a hard time believing it doesn't work. This has worked since years and years ago just fine.

This is the most powerfull Tag Editor I have ever seen and used. And the support of Barry is a class of it's own. If he don't know how to shock the files for success, then maybe nobody knows, I guess. Good luck.

I have this too.. since the upgrade to High Sierra.. all my music files in finder have no artwork.. I reinstalled iTunes but that lasted a day ..but strange how music files on my old usb sticks I use in the car are the same when opened in finder.. but fine on the car head unit display...lets hope they fix it very soon..or we wait for the next update to fix and reck something other thing..

For the moment no fix is possible , or just reinstalled iTunes at new reboot of the mac .!! very frustrating is you reboot all days ... So if i believe , 13.13.2 will fix it see the comment of mrw_6462

Well this is a little frustrating. They’ve released updates to iOS, watchOS, and tvOS this week. However, still no update for macOS which is what we have been told fixes this bug that has been irritating everyone in this discussion for nearly 3 months now.

This issue does NOT appear to have been completely fixed. I've just installed 10.13.2 and the artwork for most mp3 and m4a files appears in Finder, but it does NOT appear for ANY flac files. Maybe this is just another example of Apple not supporting flac.

I have donwgrade in sierra with Time machine ( the last before 10.13) !! I will upgrade latter ! Too many bugs

You’re right ! I think the same thing. But we can’t resolve it. Only a patch can do it, or a new update with fix inside

Problem is also happening in ios11 and other problem : itunes does not send cover to devices ..... !!!!

While on my mac os Server (Snow Leopard) : no problems the covers are correctly displayed ...

10.13.2 beta 3 still missing finder icon album art previews. I'm starting to think this will never be addressed. Very disappointing.

Don't worry, It will be fixed as soon as they release 10.13.2.

Mine reappeared momentarily after one of the security updates last week. As usual, as soon as the Mac rebooted the bug came back.
