Cannot print on Xerox WC 7835 after installing Mac OS 10.13

I had been able to print on the Xerox WC 7835 on my network without any difficulty until I upgraded to Mac OS 10.13. The Apple website says that this printer is compatible with OS 10.13. I have deleted the printer and reinstalled it. I have deleted the printer files in the printer folder. Every time I try to print the printer pauses and says "Encryption credentials have expired." Any advice or similar experience?

Just in case anybody with a Pantom p2500 printer lands on this thread and has the same "Encryption credentials have expired." ... after chatting with their support they very quickly repondent with "our driver still not support to 10.13" ... "it still need to 1 or 2 month to test , when we get it will update it on our website at the first time 😟"

Hello! I was able to solve it by resetting the printing system. Go to preferences, Printers and faxes, then double click the Printers then click on "Reset Printing system".

Next, download a new driver for Pantum. Then re-install it.

Finally, on the spotlight search, type the word "pantum" and click on the wireless configuration tool. Follow the instructions. Choose your printer, then on the "USE" drop-down menu, choose your printer (example: Pantum P2500 series), then it will start to re-configure.

Once it's all done, go back to printer references then add your Pantum P2500 printer again.

This is printer specific, so I am not sure exactly where on the Xerox this setting is kept, but this should get you in the right area:

Open the printer's web interface - System Preferences, Printers & Scanners, select the printer, click on "Options and Supplies", and then "Show Printer Web Page". Here is where it is printer-specific: (somewhere) tell the printer to create a new self-signed encryption certificate.

Hope this helps.

Anybody any idea how to reach Xerox and let them know that their latest driver does not deliver?

I contacted apple before through their forms and I hope someday something will come out of that black hole...

For now I use the following command in terminal to check if the cups file is stuck on some files

lpstat -o

toe see if there are files, it will also show you the name of your printer, e.g. Follow_Me_Printer_Xerox-jobnr.

then you can clear the cups file with the following command

cancel -a Follow_Me_Printer_Xerox

and go ahead with printing till it gets stuck again, and give the cancel command again when needed, etc.

It is quicker than resetting the printer system and reinstalling the printer.

sigh.....

We are having problems printing from OS 10.13 to Xerox C8055. Getting error that account code is wrong or something like that. Xerox told us that it was because we were trying to print from Adobe Acrobat DC Mac which is 32 bit. We downloaded Adobe Acrobat Pro DC and it seemed to work mostly. So we may have to purchase this for some of our color printing.

But the tech didn't have us try from the browser and that is proving to be hit or miss. We're having to dive deep into the settings each time and enter an account code. And it doesn't save the info we enter.

And still sometimes the prints don't work at all.

It looks like this problem has been happening since at least late October.

Xerox has previously provided good support but this last guy was crabby and unhelpful. We will continue to troubleshoot. I hope they get this issue resolved so the Xerox machines support OS 10.13.
