Can't download new apps with iPhone 8 Plus

I’ve been frustrated for last two weeks trying to download new Apps to my iPhone 8+ and watching the circle spin with no results. I finally found a solution. I restarted my phone and on a guess turned off cellular data and tried App download with WiFi only. Worked like a charm. Loaded two new Apps to my iPhone in a matter of minutes. I suspect the iOS 11 security was blocking cellular data for some reason. In any event, WiFi alone does the trick. Best—GEO

I had the exact same problem and was so frustrated. Turns out the problem is with Touch ID for me. Disabled touch ID and manually enter my password everytime I download an app now, and it works so far. Inconvenient, but at least I could download apps now. Hope this could help.

Have you tried downloading them both on WiFi and on LTE? I've had mine before not start loading anything wirelessly till I first started them on LTE. After getting them to start, then everything seemed to work fine.

Same issue. I try to download and get a Touch ID prompt, and then nothing happens. Sometimes, after a lapsed time (minutes) I'll get a prompt to manually enter a password but then the download will never occur. I can however download already previously installed apps, but no new ones.

Thank you!!! I have the same problem and I spent hours at the apple store trying to sort this out. It happened on a new iPhone 8 that was replaced since the "geniuses" at the Apple store thought it was a phone problem. I had to go through two total resets and with the last one I could download 2 apps and then it stopped downloading. I had mixed luck logging out of the appleID, rebooting the phone and logging in again, which *****. I followed Nyanseii advice and disabled touchID for the App store and now I can finally download apps, except I have to type my appleID password every time, which is annoying but at least it works: Nyanseii, you are a genius!! Apple, this is a BUG! Please fix it.

Having issues with my iPhone 8, on the App Store, when it ask for my password to download something, it won’t do anything at all!

Have you reset the network settings? settings>general>reset>reset network settings

I went to General-Reset-Reset All Settings. Annoying but I can now download new apps on my iPhone 8 Plus.

I experienced similar problem. What I did was upgrade my iPhone 8 to the latest system and reset everything and it works!

Are you sure they are 64-bit apps, because 32-bit ones are no longer supported

I also turned off the fingerprint and used my password instead. Also turned off cellular data.
