I wonder if this has to do with the new capability of EKG monitoring that they discussed including at the press release. Still hasn’t been discussed further but if there is new technology in there it may be possible. Every time I go near telemetry it restarts.
I’m having the same issue with my series 3. I’m an EMT and the second I walked into the ER, I noticed my watch lit up with an Apple logo. Once it restarted my weather temps on my watch face wouldn’t load. I walked outside and everything loaded perfectly. Any word on if Apple is releasing a fix?
I surprisingly lasted an entire shift last night without my watch rebooting once. I’m still waiting for my shipping box to send to Apple for diagnosis. Hoping they can diagnose and find a fix for all of us affected.
Having the same issue since 12/6, had my first series 3 replaced. I too work in SICU and seems to happen mostly in am hours but happened every hour on my last shift so it absolutely killed my battery life.
Does happen with other colleagues around hospital as well. Frustrating!
Apple working on it but I hope a solution is found soon! I've spent too much time and money on this thing already!!
I’m wondering if I should go through the hassle of sending mine in to Apple. I’ve had shifts where it doesn’t reboot at all. However it never rebooted at home. I’ve seen many people here say they’ve had it replaced and no change. UPS is supposed to pick mine up on Wednesday, but now I’m leaning towards hanging on to it instead of being without it for weeks.

Aside from issues with the operation of your Apple Watch, you may wish to consider the opposite perspective - ie whether your Apple Watch might be having a negative impact on the operation of, for example, medical equipment.
You may wish to consider turning off or not wearing your Apple Watch when you are inside, for example, an ICU or hospital.
Apple's guidelines include the following "Important safety information":

Although Apple Watch, the Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Cable, the Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Case, and the Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Dock are designed, tested, and manufactured to comply with regulations governing radio frequency emissions, such emissions from Apple Watch, the Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Cable, the Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Case, and the Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Dock can negatively affect the operation of other electronic equipment, causing them to malfunction. Unplug the Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Cable, the Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Case, and the Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Dock, and turn off Apple Watch or use Airplane Mode when use is prohibited, such as while traveling in aircraft, or when asked to do so by authorities.
Medical device interference
Apple Watch contains components and radios that emit electromagnetic fields. I work in the MRI department and I’ve been experiencing this for over a year with my series 2. Apples replaced it but it still shuts off a few times a day...frustrating. Weird thing is that exposing it to the magnet doesn’t shut it off, it’s random. I can’t figure out what exactly is causing it.
My LTE model keeps rebooting after re-installing both iPhone X and the Watch. Still a problem with iOS 11.2.6. Turn of notifications is not an option as its the only reason why I am using the product.
I have a series 2 and have had the same problem. I don’t work in the icu and I have had all the same issues. I am on my 3rd watch no fixes. They escalated my problem to the engineers and just waiting. I have no 3rd party apps running.
Are any of you running beta on your device or iphone?
Oddly, no rebooting while I was in the operating rooms last week. So something in our floors/ICU's as well - University of Chicago.

Thanks Rob! I just came here to search the same issue and was surprised to read that it was associated with hospitals. As luck would have it I was only having this issue at work - at a hospital.
I wouldn't suggest putting your Magnetic Charger on your pacemaker or defibrillator. That is how we turn those things off to do surgery on people with them on.
Happened three times today. Spent most of the morning in the SICU.
