I have been having this issue for months now and it was getting out of hand. I paired and unpaired and removed apps..no luck. However I noticed something that happened..I joined an open network at Starbucks (their network) the previous night . The next morning it restarted about 8 Times in one hour. Reset all of the network settings on the phone and it hasn’t rebooted since. Hope this helps someone.

Hi
Whilst I can't say why that is happening, the following steps may help to prevent the issue from recurring:
If you have not yet done so, update your iPhone to the latest software:
Restart both your iPhone and your Apple Watch, turning both off together, then restarting your iPhone first:
- Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
- Restart your Apple Watch - Apple Support
- If the issue recurs, close open apps on your iPhone and then restart both devices again.
Unpair and re-pair your Apple Watch:
- The Watch app on your iPhone takes a backup of your watch automatically when unpairing via the app.
- Initially choose to Restore from Backup during set up (most data and settings will be restored, with some exceptions, such as Apple Pay cards, passcode).
- If the issue persists, consider instead unpairing and setting it up as a new watch.
- Unpair your Apple Watch and iPhone - Apple Support
- Set up your Apple Watch - Apple Support
If the issue persists, then I suggest that you contact Apple Support (remote diagnostics and/or mail-in service may be available, if required), make a Genius Bar reservation or visit an Apple Authorised Service Provider with a view to having your watch checked and, if recommended, serviced:
I work in the MRI department and I’ve been experiencing this for over a year with my series 2. Apples replaced it but it still shuts off a few times a day...frustrating. Weird thing is that exposing it to the magnet doesn’t shut it off, it’s random. I can’t figure out what exactly is causing it.
OK i am on my 3rd apple watch because it has been restatrting without cause. I think I have figured this out ... not the watches problem....it is push notifications from the phones apps to the watch when people reply.... ie facebook, or other apps when people reply/respond. Since I turned off the notifications, it has NOT restarted. ALSO the auto reboots never required my 4 digit pass code. When I removed all the apps that allowed a reply and restarted my watch where my code was required...it has not restarted... thank you GOD

The official one. I went 13 hours today without a reboot. It always reboots 8-10 times per day everyday i work since buying the watch. Hopefully just not a coincidense
update 2/5/18
i have gone 4 full work days in the icu without a crash and restart. I hope everyone with problem is having the same luck after the most recent SW update.
My LTE model keeps rebooting after re-installing both iPhone X and the Watch. Still a problem with iOS 11.2.6. Turn of notifications is not an option as its the only reason why I am using the product.
Same problem here still reboots even on 11.2.6 and latest watchOS. I now disabled notification for all non apple apps and restarted the watch. Lets see if it reboots. Only apple official apps have notification set. I did not remove any apps from the watch yet.
I have a series 2 and have had the same problem. I don’t work in the icu and I have had all the same issues. I am on my 3rd watch no fixes. They escalated my problem to the engineers and just waiting. I have no 3rd party apps running.
Are any of you running beta on your device or iphone?
Oddly, no rebooting while I was in the operating rooms last week. So something in our floors/ICU's as well - University of Chicago.
Im having the same issues while at the hospital, its crazy.
I can indeed confirm that this is an issue with the Apple Watch within the ICU setting. My watch only resets in this setting. Must be interfering with equipment.
Thanks Rob! I just came here to search the same issue and was surprised to read that it was associated with hospitals. As luck would have it I was only having this issue at work - at a hospital.
I wouldn't suggest putting your Magnetic Charger on your pacemaker or defibrillator. That is how we turn those things off to do surgery on people with them on.
Happened three times today. Spent most of the morning in the SICU.
