Points well taken, but it's curious that this has been problematic with the Series 3 Apple Watch and not any other watches.

Hi
Whilst I can't say why that is happening, the following steps may help to prevent the issue from recurring:
If you have not yet done so, update your iPhone to the latest software:
Restart both your iPhone and your Apple Watch, turning both off together, then restarting your iPhone first:
- Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
- Restart your Apple Watch - Apple Support
- If the issue recurs, close open apps on your iPhone and then restart both devices again.
Unpair and re-pair your Apple Watch:
- The Watch app on your iPhone takes a backup of your watch automatically when unpairing via the app.
- Initially choose to Restore from Backup during set up (most data and settings will be restored, with some exceptions, such as Apple Pay cards, passcode).
- If the issue persists, consider instead unpairing and setting it up as a new watch.
- Unpair your Apple Watch and iPhone - Apple Support
- Set up your Apple Watch - Apple Support
If the issue persists, then I suggest that you contact Apple Support (remote diagnostics and/or mail-in service may be available, if required), make a Genius Bar reservation or visit an Apple Authorised Service Provider with a view to having your watch checked and, if recommended, serviced:
I work in the cardiac cath lab, not sure about throughout the hospital.

I have the same issue. Notice it happened only on workout session
Having the same issue, issue is isolated to when I'm in the ICU's while working in the hospital. Happens more frequently in the CT ICU. Look forward to Apple's response to solve this issue!
With the latest Apple Watch software upgrade, this problem seems to have resolved. No more reboots in the ICU. Thank you Apple
Agreed!! No more resets here either!
Great news!
Looks like this update did it. I’ve gone all day without a reboot in my ICU. Very relieved.
Are you referring to the new beta that was just released ? Or the official one?
The official one. I went 13 hours today without a reboot. It always reboots 8-10 times per day everyday i work since buying the watch. Hopefully just not a coincidence.
mine keeps restarting after upgrading to the latest official apple update. both on watch and phone
iPhone 6S+ and Apple watch series 3 (not the cellular version)
That worked for me
Apple Watch Series 3 keeps restarting
