Apple TV 4k, Netflix: Audio only, no Video. restored ATV to factory, reinstalled NF app, cable is compliant, AVR settings and TV settings ok as no issue in other apps. Worked fine until today. OS 11.1. everything has been reset, reinstalled, rebooted, and reconnected. Any ideas? NF works fine through the app on the TV as well as the app on the cable box.

The only thing I can add to this conversation is that Netflix and the new TV 4K got along fine for a couple of weeks, we had no issues. Suddenly several days ago after no changes by us (though possible TV 4K update because it's set to auto-update) Netflix video disappeared. Still have audio and sub-titles, but the main picture is black.
As others are reporting, every other app source (YouTube, Crackle, TED, etc.) works fine. Our television is a Sony Bravia 1080p, not 4K.

Well, I tried the reset, and at the same time it updated to 11.2.6. I can report that, so far, the issue has not repeated. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
Well, I thought I had this resolved. It worked well for 2 weeks, but today has decided to revert back to the same "no video" problem. This is so frustrating.

I have the same problem. I have noticed that it happens after the Apple TV awakes from the sleep mode. The only thing that restores the video is restarting the Apple TV:
SERTINGS - SYSTEM - RESTART
For now you could turn off the auto sleep function, or do a complete reset/restore of the APTV. This will completely restore to factory settings including a new install of the latestes iOS.
That does not work, at least for me. The only thing I have found to work is to turn off auto sleep. None of the updates have truly fixed the issue, for more than a few days.
Just turn off the Apple TV auto sleep. This is the only thing that seems to work without a restart.
tvOS 11.3 is out! Can anyone update and give this version a test ? 🙂
I have the same problem. It was working until couple weeks ago and now it has the rating and warning on the top left corner, sounds, subtitle, and interface but no video content!

No change... the issue remains sadly.
Not letting the ATV sleep also has not produced any resolution.
Updated my Sony TV today and hoped it would help... nope.
I have the same issue with a new Sony 4K panel. Come on Apple fix this!!! I have less issues with my Roku. How about Youtube 4K while you are at it!
Same issue - seems to occur after AppleTV sleeps. Sony A1E. Restarting the AppleTV fixes it until next sleep.

Forget it, #2 doesn't work, failed again last night.
Setting it back to 4K and will just reboot daily....
