Lots of bugs in ios 11.0.3 on iPhone 6s

I'm seeing issues with iPhone 7+ and ios 11.0.3 in which spotlight is completely useless now.

Spotlight is:

• generating only one application in the suggestion window.

• applications have no labels, only the icon shows up.

• applications sometimes do not launch when they are clicked on. Have to go to the app manually to launch it.

• required to type out the full application name to get the suggestion. (could be related to the first entry).

Suggestions??????

I have the same issues as mentioned in the first thread. The volume bug is quite anoying and as for the battery, I haven't verify it yet, but if that happens again with my new iPhone 5SE because of software updates, I think it's going to be the last iphone... switching to other platforms.

I have a lot of bugs and they bagan since I updated to the iOS 11(all of its versions)... when I was using iOS 10 I didn’t have any problems but now I have them... I’m currently using an iPhone 6S Plus

1. The first issue I found is anytime I turn on my iPhone it starts normally, the Apple logo appears and everything seems to be normal, but then when it is close to get to the lock screen or finish the start up the screen goes black for a second and then it continues like nothing never happened to the lock screen waiting till I unlock it. At the beginning I was so freaked out.

2. Certain apps keep crashing for example: WhatsApp, Snapchat, Tumblr, they have a lot of bugs, specially WhatsApp; indeed, the performance of my iPhone sticks and slows down a lot. Sometimes I regret updating to iOS 11. It is like a sticking plaster.

3. Keyboard not responding while I write... I can be texting someone, then when I type something it literally appears like 3 seconds after or more, sometimes it happens while I’m using the WhatsApp app too.

4. I’ve never have any problems with the Wi-Fi or Bluetooth or even the Mobile Data, the battery lasts a little less than what it used to last with the iOS 10 update but it isn’t that bad.

I hope Apple find a solution for these issues and other issues.

I'm having lots of trouble with problem 1) as well. iPhone SE 11.03, everytime I go into any app that is not system (downloaded from appstore) it would instantly crash. After I delete it, it won't reinstall again, it just says "App could not be downloaded at this time". Same result on any app.

i’m having all the same exact issues with my 6s plus and everyone i know with an iphone 6 or newer are as well. i’m over it. one of my friends said that her ios messed up so bad that her entire screen stopped working. like it was on and would ring and the screen would turn on but it was just solid black but you could tell it was on. took it to several phone shops and said they couldn’t fix it.

Just saying: I'm experiencing pretty much the same issues as the frustrated user above. I'm frustrated user myself, don;t go out of your way to make patronising snide remarks. Rather send someone on their way with knowledge as to what they can try next, than showing all your noddie badges off.

This is also happening to me.

I’m running ios 11.0.3 on an iphone 6s that’s just days over 6 months old.

I can only run up to two apps in the background before apps start freezing and crashing. If i have more than 4 apps open it will freeze the entire ios, can’t go home, can’t lock my phone so i’m forced to hard restart. This is an issue as I often need to be switching between more than two apps at a time.

If i backup my phone then do a full factory reset will this fix the issue? Or is this an unfixable ios error where we have to wait for the next update?

That didn't work for me. A lot of native iPhone apps are just plain buggy, but the bluetooth issue is driving me out of my gourd. You need to fix this, and I don't want to hear you sanctimonious bs, because a lot of people are having problems with 11.0.3

Hey there my friendly nerd ball that’s reading this. I have a 6 plus that is 2 yrs old. The current update has really killed my apple joy. I have 5 apples in my family’s basket and they all seem to be rotting. Steve would not be impressed. I think you should release the old iOS for previous gens immediately as myself, my wife, my daughter, my son and my baby girl are all like, Dad my phone is so slow now. Just like rotten apples get thrown in the recycling green bin, I’m on a fast forward move away from my loved Mac platform. You have 2 weeks to reply or rectify. Do the math. Sorry Apple.

I’m at the end of my rope Apple. I won’t be upgrading my phone ever untilll you decide that you’re going to continue to support older models without prejudice. I had everything working so well and it all ***** so much now. Again, Steve would be so dissapointed with what you’ve done. Gonna have to pull the plug soon. Sorry Apple. I did love you.

That’s your best answer? Many people wait for a fix and don’t actively complain. Just got a new 8S plus and am running IOS 11.0.3. My IOS mail freezes at least once a day while selecting messages for deletion. That is not a 3rd party problem and is definitely an IOS problem. My 6 S plus behaved exactly the same when updating from IOS 10. I passed that one down to my wife.

The whole iOS 11 release is a joke, my phone has become so unstable it is almost unusable. Current issues:

1. Screen hangs and becomes unresponsive - hard reset to fix

2. Sudden call dropping even with full signal bars, phone stationary and full 4G - sometimes it takes a hard reset in order to make calls again.

3. Apps unresponsive and then crash repeatedly - even ones that support the new iOS

4. Phone slows down significantly, this is usually a sign its about to freeze

5. Battery life is horrendous - Leave the house at 7am with 100% at 7:20am it is 73%, by 10:00am its 50% and that is with most things turned off, although I should not have to turn off key features just to get the battery to last

Come on Apple - you need to sort this out now.

By far the worst update I have ever experienced. And there have been some bad ones.

I had the same problem as you did with the wifi crashing the music app or the volume indicator just stops working.

I am also unable to switch between iphone, speaker and any blue tooth device may have had connected. Speaker phone does not work ever. Can not even switch to it. Answers calls works about 75% of the time, the other 25% just drop and have to re call.

When I link to my Tahoe in bluetooth or even USB I get nothing. It will not play music, take or receive a call. I have to restart the phone and the Spotify, Sound cloud or even Apple Music app two or three time before it will even link to hear music. I get no artist info on my cars display or controls anymore from the vehicle itself.

Also the phone freezes ever two or three days where I can not even force restart it. Just have to wait about 5-8 minutes for it to stop freaking out and restart.

Never had any of these problems prior to the 11 update.

Listen to music, when it was full blast with headphones I could not hear cars pass by, now due to this update the music sounds like the volume is almost all the was turned down. Haven’t had any issues with any apps yet but i’m sure that will be coming.

one of the chief issues on my 6s is that volume doesn't work when the screen is off. Lots of apps are crashing randomly. my phone restarted itself 3 times since the update to 11.0.3 2 weeks ago. awful usability, for some reason even dial pad has changed; it has thicker fonts and digits now.. terrible, but not a totally surprising attack on our gadgets from apple. thanks again apple
