Lots of bugs in ios 11.0.3 on iPhone 6s

Hi Apple,

What have you done with ios 11. Even after 3 updates the stability is terrible.

First of all: a lot of apps aren't working right. they keep crashing or the whole ios crashes and i have to do a hard reset. Even the apps that have been updated work insanly bad.

Second: random ios bugs. like wifi crashing the music app or the volume indicator just stops working. the apps in the bottom part of the screen disappear? the list goes on and on and on.

Last: The battery. i mean my device now only has like 60% of the batterylife it had before. you guys really screwed us over with this terrible update...

please fix asap.

1) I haven't seen lots of apps crashing but if they are, that needs to be brought to the attention of the app provider, whether Apple or someone else.

2) I've never seen Wi-Fi crash anything, or the volume indicator stop working. If you have elements disappearing from the bottom of your screen you may also have a hardware issue causing problems on your device.

3) Battery - same here. If you are seeing continual battery issues, take your phone in to be diagnosed; the most common cause of excessive battery draw is a third party app that is not compatible with iOS 11 is stuck in a loop, drawing power.

My iPhone 5s was fine as well until the update and I have taken it to an Apple Store aka Simply Computing (just not "The Apple Store" to fix it and it's still rebooting and crashing. I'm going to go back to my 4s as it will not be able to update to 11! (whew!) Until Apple realizes what a mess this new iOS 11 is and fix it right!!!

Did you meekly accept that response or did you ask to speak to a manager?

I'm not saying it isn't an issue with iOS 11 and your device, but what I am saying is it isn't universal to all iPhone 6 models (or whatever other device you may have.)

Many here have the opinion that iOS 11 broke all iPhones or iPads but that simply isn't true; literally millions are having few to no issues, so the key in asking you to take your device to the Apple Store is diagnostics they run get sent to Cupertino and perhaps there is some common denominator that will show itself that way - one particular batch of an internal chip is unhappy, or there is some other reason.

For example, when iOS 11 was first released, some users reported the touch screen no longer worked. By analyzing the failure patterns, Apple was able to determine that those having the issue had all had broken screens replaced with third party ones that didn't quite meet the specifications of the Apple originals, and they designed and implemented a fix.

But to say iOS 11 is flat out broken is unfair and an incorrect assertion.

Many of us who have been here for years helping users like yourself with issues know what it looks like when Apple inadvertently breaks something for all owners of a particular device, and the queries here have not reached anywhere near that level.

Too many people with too many problems, and who knows how many iPhone users are affected because many may be suffering in silence. I do know this: my iPhone 6 ran like a charm until iOS 11.0.3 was released. Now I have four persistent bugs that just won't go away.

Now, I wrote software for 32 years, and I know more than I care to about computers. This is a software issue that is affecting a lot of people. Whether 5,000 people or 1,000,000 people are affected, this problem is completely unacceptable and Apple must address it as soon as possible.

My inability to play music from my iPhone through my Audioengine HD6 speakers is enough for me dump apple and go with a droid. Beyond that, the industry standard codec for Bluetooth is the aspt-x. Apple uses a proprietary codec--the AAC codec, which is not supported by a lot of devices. Maybe that's the problem people are having with Bluetooth. Just an educated guess.

The AAC codec is Apple's proprietary codec. The aptx codec, developed by Qualcomm, is implemented in a large variety of droids. The iPhone does not have it. In fact, Audioengine favors the aptx codec, but also supports Apple's AAC codec.

My iPhone no longer connects to my Audioengine speakers probably because Apple tweaked the codec, rendering it incompatible with my speakers.

Thanks for the info. I have not contacted Audioengine because I know what they are going to say: Apple's latest iOS does not work with their equipment anymore. I have been using these speakers for quite some time with iOS 10 without any problems at all.

In fact, I used to sit back in my easy chair and play music for hours from my iPhone. Now I can connect, but the connection is immediately dropped as soon as I hit play. Once in a long while, I can play an album, but when I choose another album--WHAMMO--the connection drops.

I was just about to respond to William too, i fail to understand why he even commented on here with nothing tangible to offer. If millions are not having the issue, it doesn't mean the few that have problems shouldn't notify Apple. My phone has been pretty much useless since the update with multiple apps freezing and phone restarting constantly.

Empirical evidence suggests that my speakers' Bluetooth implementation is fine. I played my music with my iPhone for almost a year. The more logical conclusion is that Apple's latest implementation of Bluetooth is flawed. This conclusion can be further supported by the number of users who did not have a problem with Bluetooth until iOS 11.0.3 was released.

Think.
