Lots of bugs in ios 11.0.3 on iPhone 6s

one of the chief issues on my 6s is that volume doesn't work when the screen is off. Lots of apps are crashing randomly. my phone restarted itself 3 times since the update to 11.0.3 2 weeks ago. awful usability, for some reason even dial pad has changed; it has thicker fonts and digits now.. terrible, but not a totally surprising attack on our gadgets from apple. thanks again apple

iOS 11 is the worst. I can sometimes type an entire sentence in Messages before the keyboard begins to recognize all my input and writes it out all at once. That never happened before. This is ridiculous.

I may have to dump Apple. Too expensive and not enough value. Even iTunes on my PC is buggy and slow, but iOS 11 is the biggest blunder by Apple ever! And why has Apple kept quiet about all this when the complaints are approaching the 200 mile marker? Disgusting!

and there is also a problem with screen vertical/horizontal switch! some apps (Facebook, Messanger, Safari) turn on as blank grey frames with wrong orientation (its horizontal when I hold my phone vertically) and dont show nothing for a while...

I have been having lots of sudden problems- I have always appreciated updates until .03.

1) my clock disappeared on my screen

2) my home screen often stays sideways

3) I-tunes remains dominate on Bluetooth and even when I go to Spotify in my car the tune menu remains on the iTunes even though the music switches

This is a terrible update, I am constantly turning my phone on and off to clear it and yes ever since the download - so Apple what’s up with this bug fix

I too have been experiencing similar issues since updating. I usually look forward to new updates but this has really frustrated me. I've had to hard restart my phone several times a day. I work in EMS and sometimes need my phone in critical situations and there are times I could not even call 911 if I needed to because the screen is frozen!

I have exactly the same issues OP has highlighted, to a very noticable extent. I am using Iphone 7 plus

Prior to software update, there were no issues. Only variable before the performances dipped was the software update.

Software dipping is not a perception issue, my phone hangs twice a day or so and numerous occasions whereby my app simply freezes (pressing home button has no effect whatsoever) at which point phone might become responsive again after 15 seconds or so or I have to simply do a hard reset.

Needless to say, none of these things existed on the same apps that I use before the software update.

Oh and forgot to mention, bluetooth pairing with my car's audio system is absolutely butchered. I see similar problems being highlighted by other users across the net.

And of course, this wasn't a problem from 7th Jan 2017 (when I bought my car) to exactly when I updated to 11.0 3. 🙂

You, Merlin42, are one classy guy. Thank you for showing all of us how to handle problems in such a professional way. It's nice to read responses such as yours. I hope William K. reads your response and 'BACKS UP" his attitude.

Has anyone gone to the "Genius Bar" at an Apple store with their questions and concerns? I'm experiencing many of the mentioned issues. The Apple store is about an hour away and I don't want to waste more of my time going there if they can't help. Any news on an update to the update to fix these bugs? or a way to revert back to the previous version? Thanks.

new ios is for everyone who they consume NOT for iphone8's holders.

I have iphone 6 and I will expect and others with any type of iphone that we don't have hanging up.

That frame in Messages is happening to my phone, too. The update is so annoying that I have tried to Erase all content and restore my phone to an old backup in iTunes that is a few months old and it still forces me to upgrade my phone by stating "Hit Home button to Upgrade". My content may be back to months old content, but the version of the operating system continually remains 11.0.3!!

If anyone has an idea how to really revert back to pre-upgrade on iPhone 6S, please help!

Not! I just downloaded the 11.03 update and my phone now is loosing power at a supersonic rate. My phone was fine but nail this so-called update. It has degraded efficiency and eats battery life like M&Ms. Everyone who downloaded this horrible up date will be suing Apple if a fix is not released ASAP. IF YOU WANT TO TALK ABOUT MILLIONS GET READY. Apple do something NOW or you will start loosing customers right and left at a very rapisd rate!

IPhone 6s filled with problems. Experienced user, settings are fine. Just today I can listen to routine radio and music sources. Volume fine, then low volume or no volume control

Wii-Fi dropping constantly. Phone freezes. The list goes on. Long time Mac and IPhone for years. Google shows these are issues queried by many
