Lots of bugs in ios 11.0.3 on iPhone 6s

Hi Apple,

What have you done with ios 11. Even after 3 updates the stability is terrible.

First of all: a lot of apps aren't working right. they keep crashing or the whole ios crashes and i have to do a hard reset. Even the apps that have been updated work insanly bad.

Second: random ios bugs. like wifi crashing the music app or the volume indicator just stops working. the apps in the bottom part of the screen disappear? the list goes on and on and on.

Last: The battery. i mean my device now only has like 60% of the batterylife it had before. you guys really screwed us over with this terrible update...

please fix asap.

1) I haven't seen lots of apps crashing but if they are, that needs to be brought to the attention of the app provider, whether Apple or someone else.

2) I've never seen Wi-Fi crash anything, or the volume indicator stop working. If you have elements disappearing from the bottom of your screen you may also have a hardware issue causing problems on your device.

3) Battery - same here. If you are seeing continual battery issues, take your phone in to be diagnosed; the most common cause of excessive battery draw is a third party app that is not compatible with iOS 11 is stuck in a loop, drawing power.

iPhone 7 plus running iOS 11.0.3

Just adding my experience. I had none of these issues with iOS 10.x

No on-screen volume indicator when I press volume up and down hardware buttons.

Generic now-playing card on lock screen when playing something in Music.

No now-playing card at all when playing content in other audio apps (Overcast, Spotify, etc.)

Hitting pause on my Powerbeats3 fades out other audio apps and begins playing whatā€™s in Music.

Other audio apps not showing in the Control Center widgetā€” only Appleā€™s Music app.

Example: Begin playing audio in Overcast. Lock phone. Raise to wake, no now-playing card. Swipe up to control center. Audio widget just says ā€œMusic.ā€ If the controls are available, podcast stops and music starts playing, then controls are grayed out. The only way to stop the music is to go into the Music app and do it manually.

Hard resetting fixes this temporarily.

Some other issues since iOS 11. What I can recall off the top of my head.

During a call: audio icon does not present a speaker phone option.

During a call: audio routed to Powerbeats3 headphones no matter what I choose. Headphones need to be powered off to use the handset for audio.

During a call: voices can be strangely pitched lower (very weird!).

Entire interface freezing, then sometimes unfreezing with all my input rushing through.

Apps freezing. Apps launching to blank screen and then unexpectedly quitting, repeatedly.

Force-quitting apps doesnā€™t help.

Iā€™ve deleted and reinstalled some common apps I use (Instagram, Snapchat, etc.)

Resetting Network Settings did nothing.

Resetting All Settings did nothing.

I did a wipe and restore of my iPhone. No noticable improvement.

At this point all there is left is to set the iPhone up as new. Which is a destructive process that should not be necessary. Iā€™m hoping that iOS 11.1 addresses these issues. Iā€™d feel better about setting up as new if iMessages in the cloud rolls out.

So bad experience with this update, many of my friends suffers as well. Ordered an Android phone, ready to move...

People never have problems with Android phones, of course.

No, they are perfect. Except when they catch fire.

As I recall, they didn't actually catch fire. They exploded!

It's just sumsung, the problem of battery defect.

Does this matter to other Android?

I feel funny about your proof.

Just to tell the fact, this 11.0.3 update really *****, many basic function and fatal issues, not seen before.

Even though iphone is complained long time about its fragile battery in cold weather, i've tolerated it so far as i can still make it work properly by keeping it warm. But with this update, you really can't use it most of the time, just watching it stuck, no way to help.

While I havenā€™t had any apps crashing, my phone now works like crap on 11.0.3. My lock screen often has no date or time, itā€™s just the blank screen with my selected background. This bug seems to come and go. Sometimes the clock is there, sometimes not. My phone also has trouble with displaying in the proper orientation. Iā€™ll pull it out of my pocket and the lock screen or individual apps will be stuck in landscape mode. Also, I have significantly reduced battery life. I try to swipe all my apps closed fairly regularly, but I donā€™t even get a day of life out of the phone any more.

Lastly, Thereā€™s more then 1300 ā€œlikesā€ for the original post and most of my iPhone using friends are having these same problems but would never come to this website and leave a comment. So by that math, there could easily be thousands and thousands of people experiencing these problems that arenā€™t posting on a worthless apple tech chat room.

Including a pic of my lockscreen currently acting up.

There's nothing wrong with the phone.

The phone was working perfectly fine before the ios upgrade.

For some of us, our phone is more than a phone. We run businesses with it and other critical stuff with it. To wake up and have an update on an ios without a recourse to going back to a stable platform is just wrong.

Microsoft had the same attitude with the Windows OS. Now Apple and their fanboys are having the same attitude.

Nothing was wrong with my phone until I did the ios update now I am told to live with it?

Can I have my old ios? No!
