iPhone 8 on iOS11 keeps disconnecting from wifi

I can suggest something worked for me too, try to make 2 different wireless SSID names if you have one router that supports 2G & 5G.

@ your iPhone go to DNS - Configure DNS and set it manual.

Maybe it will work for you as I hope so!

Turn your router off for 20 /30 seconds when it's back on go to settings on iPhone down to reset Reset network settings After reset enter your router wireless key.

Later go to website for your make of router check for firmware update.

Thanks Brian, but for me I'm able to connect. I'm curious why some users have the auto-login and some not.

As for Hisham's post, I'm running 3 bands; one 2.4 Ghz and two 5 Ghz. What I have noticed is that the iPhone 8 and iPhone X are not stable on the 5 Ghz band. In my case, all iDevices are connected to a dedicated SSID which is a 5 Ghz band. The unstableness hasn't been any issues with iPhone 5, 5s, 6 and 7 Plus...just recently with 8 and X.

Agreed, several of my friends have the same issue & it is not only irritating, it is also a productivity & professionalism disaster of like me you depend on your mobile to access clients, information & data nnn

I have the last iPad Pro 12.9 (late 2017), after the last upgrade to iOS 11 I started facing unexpected disconnecting from my home and office WiFi!!! I spend time to reconnect and to introduce the pw. Sometimes it takes 15 min connected and suddenly wifi disconnects mainly when loading files or Updating apps. It’s very disappointing. Does apple developpers will fix this WiFi issue in the next iOS upgrade??? Without WiFi what can I do with this machine? Unless to use it as a coffe tray.

I'm still experiencing this issue...except I don't have an iPhone. What I mean is, when anyone with an iPhone running iOS11 tries to connect to my home wifi:

1) they CAN'T connect and

2) it kicks my Android phone off wifi as well

My computers and my tablet are not affected so I don't think it's a router issue more so something with their iPhone settings.

Well I tried it but it worked for only 5-10 min and then started again to disconnect.

YES! I’m having the same problem since I got my 8plus

I had a 6plus with no probs previously

It’s really been a problem

I’m constantly having to turn off my WiFi and am having to use up my data

It's the name of your WiFi network. You have to log onto your router to change it...
