Howdy there archonswilliamm,

It sounds like your Apple TV thinks your phone is screen recording when you try to AirPlay to it, but that is not the case. First restart your Apple TV:

How to restart your Apple TV

Then force close the Settings and Photos apps on your phone:

How to force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Then restart your phone and test it all out again:

Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

That should get it going again. Cheers!

I tried all of the above. I purchased Apple TV to specifically be able to mirror from my iPad. is this something that apple is going to fix, NOW, or shall I return the Apple TV?

I’m not screen recording. How do I disable screen recording? I am using a dock to play on my tv from my phone.

Issue is not resolved. Using HDMI adapter and am getting the same error with network apps like A&E and Lifetime.

I have this question too but I don't have an Apple Tv. Does anyone know how to fix this issue? I can stream Utube video but not from my global app nor my CTV app, it use to work. Thx Conrad
