11.0.3 update has ruined My iPhone 6s speed. It was super quick and perfect before the install. Now it takes 3-5 seconds to open all apps. Its RIDICULOUS.

Writing texts is painful. You click on the keyboard and there is a huge lag.

It’s honestly as slow now as a phone from 10 years ago. Apple customer service so far have been useless just asking for the same details over and over (what country, what apps are affected, when did I do the update blah blah)

Apple broke my phone with their poorly tested update, yet they’ve issued no software fix. Nice way to respect your millions of customers Apple.

I received now warning that my iPhone 6 Plus was going to become a useless brick on being forced to update to iOS 11. If I can't go back to iOS 10 or Apple fixes the problem I'll be swapping to Google PIXEL not just for me but for my whole family and anyone else that will listen. There is no doubt that Apple are using this as an opportunity to FORCE upgrades because they've stopped innovating to make it worthwhile to upgrade.

Today I bought the Imazing software. With Imazing you can read the internal smartphone folders. I used this software with several iphone in my possession. Only in the iphone 6 plus I noticed that since I updated to ios 11, the log folder was filled with incidents due to bugs. I have already reset the phone, the battery drains abnormally, the photo app is really slow as everything else in general.

I'm having the same problem too. It's because iOS 11.0.3 is still not a stable version. It is just a temporary remedy to some iPhone 8 and iPhone 7 users. That's why Apple has worked on the iOS 11.1 so well, it's now a little more stable than the previous iOS versions and we are all expecting a better, faster and more stable iOS in the upcoming iOS 11.2 which is currently on beta testing. iOS 11 will become great as long as Apple don't stop developing it.

Reset does not fix it. It is completely irresponsible and negligent of Apple to release such an unstable ios and not offer a downgrade back to 10 as an option. We have been used as guinea pigs. Why should any customer suffer while they try to get their $h!t together. I don't care how good anyone thinks it will be. I just need the basics to work - touch screen, apps to load in less than 2 minutes... camera to not need 30 seconds between shots, and the network unavailable thing - I never in over 5 years of being an Apple user had that, even when out in the sticks of west texas where there is barely a cell signal. It is total BS.

Ditto - it is driving me crazy! The time it takes to recognise the call i have just made and add it to the top of the recent list means i keep phoning the wrong person. it is taking 3-5 seconds to register, opening apps is slow, texting is slow, opening the camera is slow... I have the 128gb with over half of it free so it is defo not a storage issue. I love my 6s... I don't like the newer versions... I have seriously been looking the the new Google Pixel... None of the update are addressing the issues with the older models and my older I mean I have had this one less than 18 months.. I am not going to buy a new iphone because Apple think they can force me to. I will go Google.

Iphone 6S is a couple years old. By design, Apple wants you to buy a new phone. So about every 2 years from a purchase you can be certain that an update will "break" your phone as one user stated. I also have the 6S and the degradation in performance is blatant across multiple apps. I'm no longer shocked. Apple, you're no longer fooling me. Personal Computers don't go through this crap. Why must phones? Quick and consistent money, that's why.

Adding to the reply string. Same problems as others. Tried hard reboot. Tried removing and reinstalling multiple apps. I've scheduled an appointment with my local Apple Store. Fingers crossed.

Update from Apple Chat. Diagnostic discovered I've exceeded the number of battery recharges - limit is apparently 500 before the iPhone battery starts to degrade below 80%. (Wow, that was a shocker). And they acknowledged that iOS will get corrupted - only solution is to run a backup and do a complete refresh through iTunes.

Never had these issues with my 4, or 5 which I've passed onto my kid. #designedinobsolescence.

I’ve had iPhones for 10 years now ever since iPhone 3. It’s the same story every time. New iOS comes out then your outdated phone all of a sudden becomes super sluggish and noticably laggy overnight with the update. I guess it’s another sign from Apple to force me to buy their newest product? Or maybe I should go with google pixel this time and leave Apple for good? Better yet I should buy Apple stocks and ride the wave. In any case it’s a win for Apple and not for the people that use it daily. Good grief.

Apple forces a backdoor update across all older model phones making them run like ****. My phone was having problems the very day Apple released iOS11 and even before I downloaded it. The difference was like night and day. It’s a marketing tactic to make you think your phone is slow now and you should go buy the new model.
